Let me know how you get on with the forms ect, best of luck to you
P.S. I posted the link which I see you got, is that what you wanted? not sure what help you needed.0 -

Began process in january for £6500 charges plus interst = just over £8000. Applied MCOL on 16/03/2007. Was informed Natwest intend to defend themselves within the given 14 days. now have 28 days from point of service - does anyone know what that means?
Recieved a letter from Natwest's solicitors on friday requested my sort code and bank account details. I have ignored this request as i feel Natwest should be supplying this to their appointed solicitors.
The next day I received an offer of £6,000 from Natwest. I have decided to go all the way with the court process. Any advice?0 -

Yes hold out for all the money - you are entitled to it.
I don't understand at all why the bank's solicitor is asking for your bank details. Perhaps it is a tactic to create uncertainty - best to ignore it.
They have 28 days from the point of service to submit a defence. This means 28 days from the time that the papers were originally served to the bank by the court. The date should be 5 days after you applied through MCOL and you should have had a letter to confirm this.
The bank may not actually go ahead and defend although they have said they will. If you have not heard anything at the 28 day stage you can apply to the court for a judgement by default, basically meaning that you will win because no defense has been mounted.
A common scenario is they will defend but then pull out and pay before the hearing.
Or they will pay up before the 28 days are up.
My thinking is if they are prepared to pay you £6000 a better offer is on its way.

If they offer you £6500 before you go to court you MUST take it...The judge won't be happy with you if you drag this all the way to court when you've been offered the total amount minus interest...might even make you pay the court costs, etc, for being greedy!...0 -
I claimed my charges back off natwest, got the usual letters back, then phoned and was told that they were refunding the full amount. they said they were sending me a letter, i had to sign and return it and they would apply the refund to my account in 3-5 days. however i still have no letter 3 weeks later, and the phone number i've been given rings constantly with no answer. i tried another number who could not help me and said the delay was due to the thousands of people reclaiming. i'm about to write a letter demanding my money within 10 days or i'll speak to the banking ombudsman - good idea or bad?!0
