Sent my 1st letter requesting the charges back, of £4500 have received a reply today (5 days early) with the usual nonsense saying they believe the charges are true and transperant and would like to offer me a goodwill gesture of £800. I think thats a bit of a joke realy. Now its time to send the second letter about threatening to go to small claims I am quite worried, does anyone know how much costs i would incurr?
Thanks any help is really appreciated.0 -
hi there
I am looking to process a chargeback on my Natwest account but have a question before i get started. My account is still running as i still receive a monthly letter telling me how much the interest charge is going to be. However I am not allowed to withdraw from the account as all payments to the account come off of what money I owe them. My bank card has also been destroyed. Will this affect a chargeback?0 -
Hello.
Has anyone heard from Natwest recently. I'm still waiting for the reply to my second letter sent 3 weeks ago!!! Do you think they are delaying for Christmas?

Sometimes the banks don't reply to your letters. If this is past the deadline you gave them in the letter. Move onto the next stage straight away. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi, I am in the process of claiming about £6000 of money back from Nat West over the last 6 yrs for me and hubby, over 4 different accounts, i have sent all the letters from the templates provided and am now at the stage of going through money claim as they have said 'no way' to all letters.
I am stuck on the 'daily rate of interest' bit on the particulars of claim section when filling the on-line forms out :-
The claimant claims interest under section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at the rate of 8% a year from 31st Oct 2000 to 17th December 2006 of £1583.10 and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgment or earlier payment at a daily rate of {enter the daily rate of interest}.
What do I fill in on the last bit?????
Cheers0 -
If you multiply the amount of your claim by .00022 this will give you the daily amount of interest.
e.g........ claim for £6000. Daily interest is £1.32 a day.
The £1583.10 claim would be 35 pence a day.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

hi king84
its like martin said in in his notes on the issue, its how you look on it!
its money you never thought you would see again so if you are happy with that amount accept it!
if they evenoffr me half of what i've been charged i'd be very very tempted to accept!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

This seems to be a common question. The answer is always the same.
Only you can decide what to accept and how far you want to go. If you are happy with what's been offered, take it. If you want to pursue the full amount it's very likely you will get it, but you'll need to wait longer.0
