Hiya...Natwest have until Monday to respond within the 14 day deadline to my charges letter.
Is there a number I can call to chase them or would you advise I leave it and just proceed to the next stage if no reply? I don't even know if they received it as track & trace says the information is unavailable!!?
Many thanks
If they haven't responded by Monday, just send off your next letter.0 -
Could some just help me with a couple of questions
l. cobbetts have requested further information CPR Part 18 when l answer this do l need to send a copy to the court with the AQ.
2. Do l need to send a copy of my AQ to cobbetts.
these may seem stupid questions but l do not want to do the wrong thing at this stage.
thanks.0 -
Managed to sit down and go through all the statements for the past 3 years, i know i can go back later, but don't think we incured any charges before then.
Letter goes hand delivered by me to the branch tomorrow. Let's see if they put the money back in our account as quickly as they removed it. Somehow, i think not.
Not claiming interest, just the charges, £3,300. Don't they mount up quickly!! I thought it would be about a grand, but the total just kept growing:eek: .
Fingers crossed for the next few weeks.
Did the endowment reclaim late last year, and that was easy as pie.:rotfl: Finances going the RIGHT way at last!!:T
Thanks to the inspirational :money: :beer:0 -
when you get to the court stage - add the statutory interest at 8%. They have deprived you off your money over those 3 years - you are entitled to it.LegalBeagles0

Just about to try step 1, and am confused already - do I send a cheque for £10 to this Natwest Data Protection manager? It says charges may vary by bank. P.S. should I send a cheque from my other current account with Smile - or are you not allowed to have 2 current accounts in the UK, so would look stupid? I can't remember if you can or not, have 2.0

It doesn't matter which bank the cheque is drawn on, make it payable to NatWest. The maximum charge is £10, it could be less. Address to send is in the first post of the Reclaim Help Thread, link in my signature.0

cheers - was just wondering that if I sent it from Smile - then it might register with them that I don't need them?
They're such fools - if the collections mgr hadn't, just now, refused to waive more than £35 of the £213 in charges relating to one S/O to my wife, I wouldn't have bothered pursuing this. Now I'll hit 'em for a couple grand, at least.0 -

Hello
Got an offer letter from Natwest this morning offering me the full amount of charges miunus the interest. I'm going to reject it as I'm now in the moneyclaim system (have been for several weeks) and so want my court costs back too! My partner suggested I write back to them saying that as they have pursued the court case, i will only accept an offer in the region of x amount to cover costs I have incurred.
I was just wondering if anyone has has had any success in going this route or if its best to continue with my claim.
Thanks!
PS It was a very shoddy letter - My name and county were mis-typed and the reply form said the offer letter was posted 7th March when the date of the letter was 9th March! I guess they are so busy now they dont have time to proof read anything!!0
