Hi,
I sent the first letter to Natwest just over a week ago, first question was how long does it take for them to get the charges/statements out to you?
second is do they automatically change you from a cheque guarentee card to cash card or is that only certain circs?
Thanks xx0 -
Have a read through this thread to see how long it has taken for other users. They do have 40 days to respond.0

Hi
Just a quick question, we were sent a letter sayin natwest would contact us within ten days , they didnt we phoned them and they said there is a 4 wk waiting list! we are at the stage were we r ready for court should i proceed or should i be waiting... thanks0 -
I got sent my last six years statements in two sets, one for period dec 2000 - sep 2002 , which charges were 1289, interest 504.08 ANd sep 2002 - Jan 2007, which charges were 1885, interest 621.82 .
They never acknowledged sep 2002 - Jan 2007 So that has gone to court, which has been acknowledged and 19th March a court date should be set.
However, they have now wrote and offered me the charges back on the 2nd claim......But no offer to go with for the first? is it cause it too late for them now it gone to court???? are they tryiing to get me to take one lot of money instead of full amount?

Hi
When starting court process through moneyclaim. Do you put down the address for the local natwest bank or the registered office?
Thanks

Shabby dabby, when i did my moneyclaim , i put bedford branch down, as they were my main address/branch. But on all letters etc i have put copies to borehamwood too.
My claim has been acknowledged by cobbetts (natwest solicitors) so it was obviously picked up.

Well I am a bit pleased. Just got home to find 2 offer letters for the 2 accounts I am claiming unfair fees back.:D
Only problem is I have been through the letters process, I have telephoned them ( before innitiating court proceedings) all to no avail.:mad:
I started the moneyclaim thing last month. Today I received an offer on 1 account ( full ammount less interest and court cost) and the other ( £22 less than full ammount ( Yes I know why would they bother) without interest or court costs).
Given that I gave them ample time and opportunity to resolve this matter prior to my innitiating court proceedings, I am not prepared to accept this offer ( I would have been some weeks ago).
Does anyone have a thanks but no thanks letter, I have seen one on here, but cannot find it now I need it.
Thank you in advance for any help:A
Wish me luck

Hi all,
I desperately need help, I was going to save posting a thread until I could let you all know my success story of claiming back £3777.00, as was going well but now hit a serious brick wall. I am at the stage at waiting for a court date, but have a big problem, the court has now sent me an Order of Judgement telling me I have to respond to Cobbetts 'Request for Information' or they will strike out my case! Even though I sent the court a letter asking forr standard disclosure and about intimidation, I have sent it all, and now I get this, I havent heard this happening to anyone and am now quite scared!! Can anyone give me the answers to the following questions that the court need from me, its all Jargon and I have not got a clue!
2.2 In relation to each charge, please clarify the following: a) is it the case of the Claimant the same should not have been chardwed?if yes; please explain why the claimaint contends that the same should not have been charged? C) if no; is it the case of the claimant that the same should not have been charge in this amount? D) if yes; please explain why the claimant contends that the same should not have been charged in this amount and identify the sum the claimant contends should have been charged. E) if no; please state the claimants case.
3. In your claim you state that ‘the charges are an unlawful extravagant penalty’
4. Please provide the following particulars in support of your claim:
4.1 Please specificy the clause(s) pursuant to which the charges were applied;
4.2 Please specificy whether the chares applied were due to a breach of contract by the claimant;
4.3 Please identify in each case the particular breach of contract (by reference to appropriate terms of the contract) that the charge was related to.
5. In your claim you state that the charges are ‘an unfair penalty under the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations 1999’.
6. Please specifiy all of the facts relied on by the claimaint in support of the contentions in parapgraph 5 abopve, and in particular please identify the contractual provision(s) that the claimaint alleges are invalid by reference to the regulations.
I need to send this off by 14 March.......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
