Can anyone help please? Nat West 7 days up today. Rang them and told they would get someone to call in next 48 hours. If I dont hear anything next step is to claim through small claims. When claim goes into court, I believe I can then claim interest. My charges from NatWest are 2076 and I have calculated approx 251 interest. However, looking at some of the success stories ie someone claiming 677 and interest of 160, not sure if I have calculated interest correctly as this seems quite low in view of amount claimed of charges in excess of 2000. I used the calculater and simply put in each individual charge and the date - is this correct and does 251 interest sound about right on claim of just over 2000? I might add Nat West have charged me almost 500 in interest!Nat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!
HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.
Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA0 -
jayneg thats exactly how i calculated our interest and we are claiming over 3 grand and the interest is something like 244 quid so i think you must have done it right .0

I've just sort of received £1981.50 back from NatWest at the second letter stage. However, when I said sort of I mean that they cleared the overdraft on the account which as far as I knew was closed because they took away all means of access apart from and agreement to repay the O?D at a specified amount each month. I am on a very very small income and was looking to ust this repayment to clear off several smaller debts which would free up more each month to clear the other. To show you how professional a bank NatWest is....1st the sent as requested my statements...no probs there..2. sent the offer to which I replied by return. They paid into an account which I thought was closed as they had withdrawn all rights to access....3. Letter came saying they couldnot process my request as they needed to update my information before sending out my statements...4. Letter arrives on the mat to offer me £1700.00 for the same account that they had paid but couldn't process....5. spoke to their customer services that were as much use as a chocolate fireguard...not sense from them....6. Spoke to the local Assistant mangager only to have to give her the pone number because their operator couldn't find it....7....she told them I wasn't happy with the payment instead of asking why they hadn't sent me a cheque and thereby dictating how I could spend money that they had taken from me illegally....next step is me seeking advice on if what they have done is legal or not nad hoping to get the money out of them completely...ACCOUNT NOW CLOSED....NAT WEST TO NEVER DARKEN MY LETTERBOX AGAIN...but I hope allof you have good luck with them...don't let them do you down....fight onnnn0

If you are claiming on an overdrawn account, closed or open or indeed with a debt collection agency you'll find that the banks will pay the money into that account.0

Hi,
Can someone confirm how the bank will enter a defence by acknowledging our claim. Will I receive the acknowledgment through the post or will the Natwest acknowledge this on the Moneyclaim website.
Thanks.
