It's important to remember that as you're in the Court process now .. you're only answerable to them on the date of the hearing. When I got to this stage, I didn't bother to write back to them and acknowledge that I'd received their request for more information.
In my very humble opinion, the less you say to them .. the more you appear confident in winning.
Remember: they're trying to make you feel unsure of your Claim against them.
I'm still waiting to hear from Cobbets, My Action was started on the 7th.Whoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)
Nat West under my belt £4532, LTSB, £7300, Barclays, £2300, First Bank of America, £3200. Rates overcharge £1700. Just working on Egg0 -
Can anyone help with this query
Natwest have offered to pay £2466.84 (All the charges minus interest and court costs). We did not expect to get the interest back which is fine, but we are adamant that we want the court costs back, however, Mr0620 has telephoned Borehamwood today to be told very rudely that "We are not refunding interest or court costs".
They have until 26th February to defend there case, would the case be relocated to another court nearer to us (Manchester) as it is currently at Northampton?
Do you think we are wise to push for the court costs as well or should we just accept? Will we receive any correspondence from Natwest solicitors to acknowledge our claim for them to defend as up to now we have not received anything other than the offer letter. Do we need to reply to this offer letter formally as well as speaking to them over the phone?
Thanks for any advice given!**Trying my best to be the best that I can**

Yes the case would be shifted to a court near to you.

As for do I personally think you are wise to push for the court costs, try and weigh it up in your mind again today. Judging by the NatWest stories they will enter a defence to go right to the end so you would be looking at quite a few more weeks and a further £100 court costs BUT if you do go that far you would also get the interest as well as the court costs.
Why not try phoning again later today and see if you get someone else on the phone and/or write back and say you will accept this offer provided they pay the £120?
But... its not my decision!0 -
Hi there - got a quick question re Natwest.
Has anybody been completely ignored by them before proceeding to court?
I received my statements no problem but since then have had no acknowledgement of either of the demand for recharges letters I sent.
The deadline was up last week and I'm waiting till I get paid to take them to court (or until my Capital One cheque for reclaimed charges arrives - whichever is first!).
Just want to see if this has happened to anyone else?
Thanks in advance
PS - I dont have an account with them anymore.0 -
Hi, i only ever had two letter s from them, first one a delaying letter saying they would look into it and then another saying they disagreed and were still investigating.... papers served on them on the 11th. im not feeling too hopeful but will have to see.....DEBT FREE - MARCH 2012 - NOW JUST THE MORTGAGE!

It's amazing just how different peoples experiences are with the same bank. I'm pleased to say my reclaim has been so easy in comparrison to some peoples quest.
1. Letter written requesting statements, cheque for £10 enclosed
2. Cheque processed and statements sent to me within one week
3. Letter sent with total claim and interest
4. Telephone reply within 14 days to say they were prepared to pay my claim but not the interest
5. Letter received today confirmng this :j
Good Luck to everyone else with their claims
