I was hoping i would receive my money by the end of this week but I am 2 days behind you so it doesnt look like i will now. I sent my acceptance back by special delivery last thursday and they confirmed they received it on friday. i know they say 14 days but I was really hoping it would be sooner
. I've been checking my account several times everyday even tho i know its too soon :rotfl: Do you know if it is an over night transfer? ie it will show first thing in the morning and so its not worth checking for the rest of the day? Let us know as soon as you get yours, then I'll know when i'm likely to get mine! :j
Can't believe this time has actually come!! :T
Tillybella
i think its manually entered on the day, so you can't see it going in until it does. As soon as I have it, i'll let you know. Fingers crossed for us bothWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0 -

Hi Sam
Morning all, god they only received my offer on Tues and i ve already checked account four times. I sent them an email yesterday to check they had received acceptance letter back and asked (begged) lol if they could put money into account this week, as they are taking out £100 charges on sunday whick will make me overdrawn again , therefore i shall have more charges going on next month AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH is there no end to it all.
My logic is they ve already entered onto system that they ve received letter back but they will take upto 14 days to put it into my account therefore making me go overdrawn with the new charge. It must only take them a minute to put monies into account.
reading back on forum earlier i was reading back on peoples success stories and it looks like about seven days so you should get your money fri or sat.
Good luck sam

Morning Lou, Morning All
I don't see why it takes 14 days to stump up the cash. They just want to eek it out a bit longer  . Surely it has already been agreed so once they receive and open the letter it can be done immediately!! I was rather hoping I would have it by the end of this week but I'm not so sure now, I've been checking my account about 5 times a day!! :rotfl: Joncow's acceptance was received 2 days before mine and he hasnt had his money yet. Not sure it would be paid in over a weekend would it? Will probably have to wait til next week now. I feel like a kid waiting for my birthday to come round!

Hi Everyone!
Had a letter off the FOS today, updating me on the progress of my complaint
Quote "The bank may have told you that - in its view - the charges it has made to your account were levied fairly in accordance with its tarrif. It does not appear to have made an offer that fully meets what you have asked for (too right - would like more than zero!!). I have therefore written to the bank to invite it to:
make an offer which meets your claim in full; or
provide me with the information I believe I shall need to reach a conclusion on the merits of your claim.
As you may know, in almost all the charges complaints we have considered, banks have made offers to meet the claim, and it has not been necessary for us to issue any decisions yet. I will let you know as soon as HSBC tells me whether it is prepared to settle your claim; I will explain the next steps when I have heard from the bank. If I have not heard within six weeks, I will write to tell you." Unquote

Hello everyone, fantastic forum you've got going. I've sat and read every page of it before posting my own story!
I decided to jump on the bandwagon in June when i received Yet Another bank charge i couldn't afford to pay and yet another one that caused me to go over my agreed overdraft limit.
I worked out my total charges and interest which came to £889.07. Wrote to HSBC on 25/06/07 and received the standard we're investigatiing letter only 2days later! How suprised was i when i opened the envelope to find not another bank charge but a response!
The 14days has now passed so on the 11/07/07 i emailed them through the website and enquired as to how long this process would take. My reply said upto 8 weeks.
I'm now ready to send the 2nd template letter saying i would accept £700 in fourteen days. I would really like to wait around for 8weeks to receive to full amount back but a) i'm too impatient. b) i can't afford to and c) i didn't expect to see any of the money again.
My question is, if and when i do get the money back does anyone know how i'll get it? My account has been frozen and i'm meant to be paying back my overdraft, will they balance the account or will i receive a cheque?
Thanks again to everyone who has written in, you've helped me understand the process a lot more!
