hello everyone,
Firstly apologies if i'm going over old ground but it's all new to me - i'm basically gonna go nuts today.
It's been 6 weeks since i sent HSBC a letter in response to a partial offer they made and still nothing. I've just phoned them up and they told me 10 weeks i have to wait! ARRGGHGH!! And to add salt to the wound they just charged me 75 quid for going over drawn 10 pound for 3 days. !!!!!!!?!
I cannot afford this, these charges are seriously getting me down.
Any advice would be great, even pats on the back would be nice.
Please help

thanks alot - i think stopping smoking isn't helping me to be honest. I've been with hsbc for 15 years never moan at all to em, but arrr man they're annoying me at the minute. I feel like going down to the head office photocopying a picture of some boobs 10,000 times, that'll annoy em and arm me with a very childish chuckle.
So how long have you been waiting debbie? and how much total claim?0 -
We have recently received an offer from HSBC for £1812 after a claim of £2431 (including interest) the offer is lower than the origional claim without interest but as we have an outstanding debt with HSBC they want to pay the whole of that debt off and send me the remainder of the offer (although this is one of our debts being payed through CCCS).
We have already submitted the claim through moneyclaim online and have payed up £120 costs for this, am I entitled to request this back from HSBC as part of that offer?.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Any help or advice on this would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi guys I am trying to get a working number for DG solicitors with a human on the end, and not a machine.
I have tried the ones on the forum but have always got answerphones, left messages with no success, DG have until the 18th of the month to make me an offer or give the court sufficient evidence that they intend to take this to the finish, otherwise my local court said they will throw it out.
If anyone could give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks0 -
You can always barter with HSBC over the phone, their are many posts where people have done so sucessfully, If they dont play ball maybe the MCOL route might be the way forward, might take a while longer but will hopefully pay off in the end, I would also think that if done via MCOL they would'nt be unable to offset the claim against anything you owe them?We have recently received an offer from HSBC for £1812 after a claim of £2431 (including interest) the offer is lower than the origional claim without interest but as we have an outstanding debt with HSBC they want to pay the whole of that debt off and send me the remainder of the offer (although this is one of our debts being payed through CCCS).

Ok, the claim was only £373 (without interest) but nearly 8 weeks after 1st letter, they have offered full amount .. which of course i'll accept.
I put a claim in on my other HSBC account at the same time for £721, so will be interesting to see if that too pays 100% ! (if not why not !!)
For your info, I also sent 2nd letter 3 weeks after 1st letter, but really don't think it will have made much difference. They seem to wait until the 8 week deadline looms !
Cheers everyone...0 -
Helloooooooooo..... Is there anybody out there
It's been ghostly quiet on here lately, everyone must have had their money and left us!! Bank confirmed they received my acceptance letter on 6th July so I am now sitting and waiting patiently for them to cough up the dosh. I know it is early days but I am checking my account every day in the hope that maybe they paid me early :rolleyes2 . I'll be on here straight away when I do finally get the money :j
Well I'll be off then.......feel free to reply......

Hi guys,
Been a while since I have posted on here but hope someone can help.
Have two cases going through with HSBC each for around 3.5k. Did the moneyclaim online thing, got judgement by default but it was retracted. Now we have a preliminary hearing set for 25th July at local county court.
What I would like to know is:
1. How likely are they to make an offer before this and if they do how last minute is it likely to be?
2. If we do end up going to court what do we need to take with us?
So far have received no offers from HSBC only standard 'we are looking into it' letters. Also had letters from DG Solicitors saying they couldn't consider the cases until they received details - however this was after they had issued their defence (just goes to show how they are playing the system!). They have details for months now but have heard nothing.
Bit waffly, sorry... R0 -
Well Ive had a first offer of £1887 from a claim of £2221 (without interest)
Ive called the Service Quality team on 08456 028 006 only to be told that they will not renegotiate over the telephone??
Having looked at other posts on here am I being told pork pies or have procedures changed? Is there another number for the Service Quality team that I can discuss this amount with??
Thanks
