hi all!
I filed 2 claims against hsbc on moneyclaim on 5th january. Today i received the notification from the court that they posted my claims to hsbc on 8th jan and my claims would be deemed to be served by 13th jan, from this date hsbc would have 14 days to acknowledge my claims.
I checked moneyclaim this evening and hsbc have acknowledged my claims already today!!! :T I take it this means the 14 days have been cut out the timescale now, and they have 28 days from today to file a defence or pay up or whatever? I am quite pleasently suprised at their speed to be honest... i had read many times on here that hsbc tend to leave all the deadlines to the last minute.. so i am hoping this is a good sign and that hsbc will be quick at coughing up my dosh!!! lol
anybody else get their claims acknowledged by hsbc so quick?

Hi Folks. Well I have gone through all my personal statements download last night. Since 17th January 2001 I have paid the bank a grand total of £1835.00 [£2459.23 including interest according to Martins Calculator].
I am now in the process of putting it all on a spreadsheet. When this is done and I send the 2nd letter (no need for the 1st because I have all the statements] to the bank, do I send copies of all the statements with it or just the spreadsheet?
Many thanks and fingers crossed.Proud to be dealing with my debts ONE day at a timeStopped smoking 25.05.07 - Saving £7.80 a day:j Successfully claimed bank charges of £2598.39 as of 1st June 2007:j0 -

HSBC seem to acknowledge the court claims quite quick (usually in a matter of days)
You will receive written confirmation of their acknowlegement with the box ticked that they INTEND to defend
However they dont seem to actually put in their defence in until the 28th day
Good luck
I am at the same stage as you MCOL claimed 21/12/2006 (deemed served on
26/12/2006) and acknowledged on 29/12/2006.
I asssume you have but if not send a copy of your schedule of charges to
DG soliciters and 3 copies to the court:j 221 hours & 32 mins clocked up on wii fit since 8th August0 -

Morning,
I posted a few days ago about hsbc stating they required till 8 Feb to respond to my request for payment of £1400, after asking on here I stuck with time frame and sent letter issuing 7 days to court proceedings, today I have received offer of £1071 settlement, which will be accepted.
The address to go direct is;
HSBC LTD
Service Quality Team
Arlington Business centre
Millshaw Park Lane
Leeds

If it had not been for this site I doubt I would have never done any more than always think about it, I paid all my charges thinking was nothing I can do and was all my fault, however when you actually add them up its a lot.
I can only say thanks to the folks here and good luck to anyone thinking about taking the bank on.0 -
Well done
Many people have rejected the first offer and then recieved the full amount, but it boils down to what your happy with!
Gratz!0 -
