oh! I didn't know I had to do that! how do i get the address for DG solicitors? Or have I got to wait till they send me something - do they send me anything? and 3 copies of list of charges to the court? why 3? thanks for your help! I did not know about this!

You don't have to do anything at the moment. Wait till you hear from the court.

You only have to send three copies of your claim to court if you issue a claim in your local county court. You have issued your claim online, so you don't need to do this.

  • oooo! another thing... i noticed today i have been charged for a direct debit being reversed.. this is the first time in nearly a year that i have been charged as i have been good with my account for a while now... one thing i noticed is that the charge is £25.. I am sure their charge used to be £30... anyone confirm this? thats just an observation.. has been bugging me! lol
but.. what i am interested in knowing is.. are they allowed to charge me while i am in the middle of a court claim against them? would be intereseted to know!
    thanks!

  • Standard letter, if they haven't responded to you in your timescale move on with the next letter/stage.

that was the response i got within the 14 days i gave them? should i take this as there reply or if they have not responded again within the given timescale move on to step 3?

I'd be interested to know too... as I'm in the middle of a claim, they are still apllying charges to my account when they have refused a direct debit as I haven't enough in my account!

I have opened another account of which I intend to use from this month and leave my HSBC one in debt... they may pay up quicker then!

Should I wait til this claim is settled til I start another for the most recent charges?

thanks for any advice... I feel really stressed out with this whole thing today.

Read Martins article, and follow the steps in it. If these are the only charges you have, you don't need to send off for your statements.

  • Hi all,

I've gone through 6 years of my HSBC statements and have found around £1300 of charges. Before i reclaim them i am worried that HSBC might reduce my overdraft limit (which is £2000) as part of any settlement. Does anyone have any experience of this?

    Thanks,

    Paul
