I've reached 7 weeks tomorrow, so will be giving them a ring to chase up, as I was informed to do by a very nice lady @ Leeds. I know some people have had a pretty !!!!!! experience with HSBC, but they do (normally) seem to come up with an offer around 8 weeks. Traceppp, I feel really sorry for you, as i'm quite shocked you didn't even get a 'poor' offer as I expected you may. Seems a bit out of sync with what HSBC are doing. I do agree with sanfardo that there is some hysteria on the board, but not really in this thread. Far to many times I see people asking for advice, only to be bluntly told, go to the next step, follow your timetable not theirs. A lot of people are regretting that now, and I feel people should base what they do with any particular bank, based on all the evidence and facts. There is a lot of usefull information here, but then again, sadly, far too many people can't be bothered to read through it, and ask the same questions, time and time again. Wish me luck, I doubt i'll get an answer, but was told to ring in the last week for an update
Yeah - stick with it! I believe my experience is in the minority. Might be worth giving them a friendly e mail aswell! It is really useful to read thru all these threads, they really do help and give u the inspiration to go on, lots of people out there to give you help and advise.
I'm sure you'll get a the response you wish!!Self Combust Society Member  :rotfl:0 -
We shall see. Thinking about it they would of received it 7weeks tomorrow, so if I don't have time, i'll get onto them on Monday
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm actually feeling pretty confident, just have to speak to people at Leeds calmly and nicely. I think they are getting a lot of grief off people, so hopefully the nice touch will work. Fingers crossed you hear from the FO soonWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0 -
I don't know of a template for that but you are perfectly within your rights to ask for it if the have just settled the claim. But if you accepted a percentage of the total charges they may pay back the £300 pro-rata (based on the same percentage). If they don't pay up straight away then you may have to start from the beginning all over again!:eek:Good 'ere, in it! :money:Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0

Hi Guys,
I have now had my transfer of proceedings through yesterday for the court, I have been transferred from northampton to lincoln, however I have nto had an AQ in the pack, there is what looks like a copy of HSBC's defence in there.
Is this correct or should I call the courts/DG to find out exactly what is going on?
Many Thanks in advance

Hi ya, good luck, my 8wks is up in just over a week, but they told me that they have another week as they count the 8wks from when it goes on their system. So i am just going to wait now, until much nearer the time, as i do agree that keep hassling them to early on, seems to prolong a reply
Let us all know how you get on. Maybe if you get someone obliging they could give you an idea of how it long it s all taking etc.

I'm not sure when it was loaded on their system, but as i'm pretty busy today, I don't think i'm going to have time to sit on hold for 25min today. I'll prob try tomorrow or Monday, but i'll let you know how I get onWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0 -

Job done in 10 weeks, maximum (assuming nothing is lost). But that is the FASTEST way to get your money back. Deal with them as human beings, and guess what- you’ll be treated as a human being too.
Well I have it in an email message from HSBC that I am too be offered £1340. I was claiming £1695. I am fairly happy to accept at this point, once the letter arrives and assuming that they get it back in good time.
I just wanted to say in reality it took about 11 or 12 weeks, excluding the time taken to get hold of statements. I was told at first that the statements available online were not viable for starting a claim. Some of the paper statements started to arrive long after I had already written to HSBC with a charge list, I never got all the paper statements sent to me in the end.
The offer letter has yet to arrive, could take another week I was told and once they get it back it will be upto another 2 weeks after that before that matter is resolved.
So yes I am happy that its done but looking back maybe I could have just ignored what they said and gone down the road of a small claim, and followed my own time table. I can understand why people get irate when some get a prompt result and others are not so lucky.
Anyway hopefully all this is over now :j
Good luck all

Hi Patch
Well done for getting offer via e mail, at least it looks like your heading in the right direction, i hope the letter comes for you tomorrow, seems to me(not being impatient) maybe a bit! that it takes nearly as long as their eight weeks at the moment for them to actually send letter notifying you and waiting for money to finally go in your account. I did read on one of the hsbc success stories a lady got paid out within 4wks from start to finish. it was only a small amount about £600 i think , so maybe the lower the claim the quicker the response. Just a theory on my part.
Anyway good luck and let me know as soon as you have received letter, give us all some inspiration.
Lou x
