Hi, this question could of been asked before but wonder if anyone can help..
HSBC had until April 22nd to defend of acknowledge. They Acknowledged on April 12th so now have the 28 days from service... so what date does that give them until? The Claim was issued on April 3rd...
Just a bit confused as to what date I can file judgement... is it another 14 days as of 22nd of April?
Thanks in advance
LauraThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

hi guys,
sorry to be thick can anyone help?
i posted my claim to HSBC on 4th April for £2500
i have received a letter today dated 12th April saying
"were looking into the matters you have raised and will contact you shortly with a full response as soon as i have completed my investigations"
is this a ploy by HSBC to buy more time????
my questions are:
1) do i still send my letter threatening court action on 18th April or do i wait for a reply?
2) and if i do send the letter on 18th do i send it to my branch manager or the guy who has sent the letter?
any help greatfully received
thanks

Hi
Just wanted to say to everyone that is still chasing their money, hang in there, stay positive, you will get your money back, and keep sticking to the letter deadlines!
I did all of this and got all my money put back into my account yesterday!
at times though i never thought it would happen, and even though hsbc sent me stalling letters i kept on top and went for it!
i got £1360 back.
Good luck and i hope you get your money soon.0 -
Hi all,
found the info on the CAG website have copied and pasted the advice in case anyone else requires it (Colin refers to Colin Langdale HSBC "Senior Service Quality Officer":
i've now copied this to keep from repeating myself so much:
TO EVERYBODY WHO HAS RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE GOOD COLIN.................... .
STICK TO YOUR ORIGINAL TIMETABLE -
if he can get a couple of dozen (hundred - thousand) to hold off til he looks into it - what a vision that gives us...........
he's buying time - your time - your money...................
IGNORE THE STALLING TACTICS!
hope this helps anyone who receives the same letter
thanks

I have just gone through all my statements from the passed 6 years, the earliest being May 01. I have recorded all the dates and the total charges and put them on an excel spreadsheet. the total amount comes to £2131. so unhappy but happy if i recieve anything like that total amount.
So do i go straight onto letter 3. Im not going to apply for interest.
Its a scary process but one that needs to be done so any help will be much welcomed. Thank you in advance

hi,
yes, add the £160 to the total and recalculate your interest, if you paid £10 to get your statements then add that on too!
best of luck
ps send a copy of this letter to the Financial Ombudsman Service
this should guard against timewasting on thier part!0 -

Hi no joy yet, am a bit confused about what is happening at the moment so would be good if someone can help by explaining (without abreves if poss).
Had my allocation questionaire thru filled it out, not that much needed filling and sent it back, what happens now??? Charges keep building up and I am tempted to send a further claim to 'sir colin of time waisting' requesting that he refund my charges since jan 07 ontop of original claim before its gets to court (is this a good idea, nearly £1000 since jan) I'll get you debts and your little dog too!!! :mad:And best of luck to all the other debt busters out there!!:beer:0 -
To Craigywaigy16
You're definitely right to stick to YOUR original schedule.
I've been through the whole thing, sent the 2 letters, got fobbed off, filed MCOL on Easter Monday, got letter today to say HSBC are defending the claim (about £4600 altogether)!
I thought I was worried before but now really scared! Has anybody actually got to the "going to court" bit?DFW Nerd No955 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'
