With all due respect it's actually:

    Abbey National plc
    Abbey National House
    2 Triton Square
    Regents Park
    London
    NW1 3AN

All contact addresses are available on the bank reclaim section of the main website.

This is correct. I telephoned my county court and got loads of advice from them. They told me not to use any Abbey address with a P.O. box number. But you must use their head office address when you put in your court claim. If anyone can get hold of a British Army tank we could drive up there.
  • Hi,

does anyone know if emailing HSBC's service quality actually gets you anywhere? do they actually reply? or am I wasting my time?

if you sent the letter on the 26th then you give them the timescale from then, eg when its posted and dated on the envelope
  • First post

Wrote my first letter attached cheque, they responded saying they were arranging for the info i requested.

I recieved just 4 duplicate statements, so i wrote to them again but replied to the address they had replied from (in Bradford) and i've heard nothing since. The 40 days is up on thursday, should i write again to the head office address or just ring the information commissioner?

I tell you guys what, the tank thing doesn't seem to be a bad idea!! We should all get together and hang out outside the Abbey London HQ and protest against their charges and cause some unwanted publicity and maybe Abbey will get the message that we're not scared and will stand up against them and maybe it will pave the way to get a quicker settlement from them.

    Just a thought!!
  • Give them a phone call and let them know that the 40 days are up and if you don't get anything you will report them. This happened to me and a couple of days later, I got it all!!!
  • Submitted my court case yesterday :T but i've looked online and it says Northampton county court but im in HUddersfield is this right?

I sent my first letter on the 26th January. They acknowledged on the 3rd February.

I sent the 2nd letter on the 8th February. I called the service quality team on the 21st february, and they told me they were looking into it. I called again, a couple of days later. They claimed they had sent an offer, but the letter had been printed but not posted

I waited a number of days, and nothing in the post. Another delaying tactic.

Filed with MCOL on the 5th March. HSBC acknowledged on the 6th.

I have just checked on MCOL, and HSBC have put in a defence today.

Could somebody tell me what the next step is? My claim is just over £1500.

I assume I have to pay £100 to go to court.

At what point do I need to pay this?

Will the allocation questionnaire be the next step?

    Thanks

When done on MCOL this defaults to Northampton court, however if your bank defends the claim it will automatically switch to your local court.

So this is ok, well done
