Sent them the second third, they replied with their ''generated letter of we understand your complaint blah blah''. I then sent third. No reply.
Phoned them up and told them if they wanted to settle, they said not until the 4th week of judgement which she said on the phone its today and that I should receive a new letter stating my verdict!
Probably gonna be a letter stating that they charges are lawful etc etc. They must think that I am not gonna make thethat I dont want £694 inc interest!!!!Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -

Hi
I sent my LBA last week for £1800 plus interest but was also unsure what to put under Court Name and so just put "...the Court will find in my favour...."
Does this invalidate my LBA in anyway as I was planning on proceeding to MCOL on Monday as their time limit would be up.
Thanks

Court addresses and bank addresses are in the Reclaim Help Thread link in my signature.
It won't affect your LBA0 -
Has anyone tried detering from the template letters. As i an after a quick settlement, what are my chances of saying to the Bank pay x amount and it'll be the end of it.
I.e. Charges £861 Interest £111.38 Total £972.38, if i ask them to settle on £800 what do you reckon my chances are?0 -
I notice earlier in this thread that somebody went to court and lost because they weren't prepared. What was it they should have provided because I may well be there myself soon and getting a little worried about the prospect.
Also, I saw Martin on the telly today and he mentioned closing accounts being unlawful and you could receive extra payment if they do this. What is the story here?0 -
To all above worried about court; I filed a claim with MCOL in December which HSBC defended at the very last minute. I then had to send AQ and further £100 fees. DG Solicitors then contacted me asking for breakdown of charges (which had already been sent to HSBC) which I sent again. Then a week or so later offered the full amount which was charges, interest and court fees (£2900) which of course I have accepted and have recieved cheque for today. :j
HSBC are doing there very best to scare people off and delay proceedings as much as possible so don't worry you will all get there in the end. This is my sencond clam off HSBC and both have been successful.
I don't think HSBC are doing themselves any favours as they're ending up paying a lot more that most of us would settle for. In the beginning before MCOL was lodged I would have just settled for the charges themselves back. So HSBC are around £860 out of pocket what with interest and court fees. You would think that they would just settle ASAP instead of trying to play hardball as it just doesn't appear to be working in their favour as many of us are getting braver.
Good Luck Guys.Remember ....its not a bargain unless you need it0 -
