    evening everyone

Lovely posts JackieO, sorry but they both made me cry, but then I am in tears a lot at the moment.

Was late getting up this morning so it was a quick flick around and put the washing over the drier before work. Tea tonight was just me so leftovers from yesterday, when I cooked another chicken dinner as we had OH's DS1, GF and DGD for tea, have enjoyed all the company and cooking for people this weekend. :D

Work today was not good, not going to into too much but just feel there seems to be one rule for everyone else and one for me, think I have been too accomodating and now being taken for granted, am annoyed I didn't fight my corner more, but as I said, am very tearful at the moment and I can't speak up without the tears coming!

OH got me a lovely digital photo frame that you can set to a calendar and just a small pic on it for valentines day, he thought I could put it on my desk at work with lots of pics of my family but as we have a thief who comes into the office it would mean me taking it home every night  so I have it next to my lappy and can see the pics out of the corner of my eye. Was very suprised by his pressie as usually its flowers, I think he feels if I see more pics of my family I might stop being tearful, bless him. I had ordered him a cd but it didn't turn up , but I did do him a pack of silly bits, got the idea of the internet....where else :rotfl:we said no cards, but when I got up this morning there was one waiting for me, grrrrrrr :D was too late to go out and get him one as isn't home tonight.

Hope those who are celebrating are all having a nice meal and a loving evening, and those who arn't celebrating, hope you are having a good evening too xxxx

Hi you are not alone in the one rule for one and another rule for others,
Our work place seem like that most days. But were ever you work i think would be the same. Its poo i know but i aways just try to rise above it!.

    Good luck :j:j

    Evening All.

Feeling a bit bleurgh. One of my friends is having a hard time, and I am really worried about it, and I found out a wee while ago that someone from work died yesterday. I wasn't close to her, but she was a very nice woman, and we used to be in the same team, I am really shocked and sad about that. God I am awful, its Valentine's Day - sorry!

I've enjoyed the music, Donnygal I love The Carpenters :)

Well if you lot of going to start posting songs again,
Then ill share this one with you,
We had this as our first dance when we got wed.

Also my wife had to have an op a couple of years ago and she was worred as the op was on her eye and she could have lost all sight in it and as she has very poor sight in her other eye this would have ment that she would have been ni on blind,
Anyway this song was on the radio on here way to the hospital and when she heard it she new everthing would be ok, as its what we had at our wedding....

 tappers whats that? it sounds awful

to be honest - I'm not 100% sure. he has been poorly with pain, bloating, bleeding and an upset tummy. NHS direct said to go to hospital in case it was his appendix but it wasn't and this is what they told him it was and to go to his doc if it didn't get better. He's a lot better now so he says, I havent seen him yet since Friday.

I think its all down to his unhealthy lifestyle - he lives on coffee and fags, not much food and doesn't sleep mich either.:( I'm trying to get him home so I can keep a closer eye on him.

Your Son sound a lot like me. If he is anything like me then he is not 100% right, he is just saying that. Now dont get me wrong he will be ok, he is ok but not 100%
He will not change his life style is he dose not wont too. It will be long going and will only happen bit by bit. Take the lead with a light touch. Get him some of them health yogots to drink they wll help. also when he is there do him somthing helay to eat. Even if its only a sandwich. little by little he will chage his ways.

But do not nag or go on that is the fastest way for im to stay the same as he if now.

You sond like a lovley mom to your boys:A They know that but nobody will change the way they live unless they themslefs really wont too..

My post it not to worry you or upset you:)
Its just a litttle bit of suport:A

All the very best and it will work out one day:)

Hope that you all had a good Valentine's day....nothing different here, surprise, surprise!

JackieO....lovely posts, you are such a lovely lady!

DD2 and her girls coming on Saturday for a week, stripped her beds this morning, bedding washed, will make beds to-morrow, didn't get round to it to-day.

Ham, cabbage, carrots, turnip and potatoes for dinner to-day, last of gingerbread OH bought on Friday for pudding.....he only realised yesterday that he had paid €4.99 for gingerbread, so won't be having any more of that methinks. Haven't made gingerbread for a long time, might have a go to-morrow.

Mossy eventually gone home and I can see in Kerry that she is glad to have 'her' house back to herself, she is curled up on a chair beside me, so happy to be back to normal!

Getting on with the cushion covers I am knitting for the living room cushions, the old ones seem very shabby suddenly.

Seems colder to-night, we have had 2 lovely days but think there is rain to come to-morrow.

Hugs to everyone who could do with one for whatever reason.

    Sleep well, stay warm

    It's been snowing here:eek:

DD and boyfriend have bounced off like tigger to his house, hard to tell who is more excited at the prospect of Paris! They are both so happy, its so lovely and funny to watch, oh to be 21 again.......mmmm, maybe not, think of all I would have missed out on!
Very emotional time watching my baby girl grow up so, nobody warned me how I would be so happy and sad all at once, but she has had such a great time, and deserves it so much, never asks for anything, she makes me soooo proud! The joys of parenthood, don't envy you, halight, going through this with 2 daughters!!!!!
