Here's my reply
Thank you for your email. As Sir Terry is away from the office at the moment, I am responding on his behalf.
I am very sorry that you were unhappy with the size of the cooked chicken that you purchased from our Allerton Road store recently.
I would like to to assure you that all of our stores comply with hot food guidelines and regulations. The guidelines for the raw weight range of a small chicken are 1.05kg to 1.25kg, and for a large chicken are 1.25kg to 1.45kg. However, once they have been cooked, there may on occasion appear little difference in the size of the small and large chickens.
If you can forward me your address details, I am more than happy to send you a refund for the chicken, by way of an apology for the disappointment.
Thank you taking the time to contact us about this. I look forward to hearing from you again.0 -
Ok heres a wee problem I've been having with a tesco tv, today I've sent them an email
Dear Mr Leahy
I'm writing this text to highlight the problems I'm having with a TV set which I purchased from your store. I've had the set for 17 months and it has broke down 4 times. Your engineers have had the set away for a week at a time and it comes back with the exact same fault. Yesterday it came back for the 3rd time the engineer told me he couldnt find the fault and lo and behold an hour after he left the same thing happened, the tv comes on with sound but no picture, but last night the tv locked up for the 1st time I had to turn it off at the plug to switch it off. So it has came back a week later with the same fault and only worse. I have phoned numerous times to Tesco Extended Warranty Customer Service to mostly no avail they would arrange for an engineer to come out and either he would turn up when I was at work or when I phoned to find out why this was not getting sorted a Manager told me that my TV had not been in there workshop for repair, until I told him what the job number was then he found the records. On the 2nd last occasion I phoned Tesco Extended Warranty I spoke to a Gavin who was really helpful and raised a High level complaint, the next day the TV went away for repair again a lady from Tesco phoned me and told me she was monitoring this because it was just not acceptable, unfortunatly I did not get her number. Today when I phoned to tell them that the fault had appeared again , Gavin was off sick and I spoke to a Julie who was not very helpful at all. I got a call back from a Graham who has tried to help me but he wanted me to let a senior engineer come out and "discuss" the fault with me I find this totally insulting from the so called senior Engineer. If they cant find the fault they are not able to do the job. One Last point when I told them that I had received a call from a lady from Tesco who told me she was monitoring the problem, They seemed more interested in finding out who this was than resolving my problem with the TV.
I await your reply

Just an idea, but you may want to remove your address from that post if you wish to stay anonymous, you never know what people will do with that sort of information0

I never received a reply to a complaint letter that I sent to my local Tesco regarding an abusive member of staff. I might try writing to head office now...0

I've been waiting for replies for a few months. Apparently they were sending stuff to the wrong address. When the customer service person said he would email the person overseeing the claim, I was hopeful. 3 months later and all I've got is an advertising letter.
I had a metal key inside a can of chilli and as I bit on it, it cracked my teeth. I now have two broken teeth and just feel like reporting it to a no win- no fee company. At least then I could afford to get them fixed! I know it wasn't a tesco product, but surely they should have done something.0 -
Hi, just looked up an address to send my letter of complain too & found this post. I too have had trouble with my tv/dvd set which is under a year old! This is the letter I have sent - i havent even sent the telly off for repair yet & im already having trouble!
I am writing to complain about the problems I have received over the last month whilst attempting to send my television/DVD player off for repair. I noticed that the DVD player of my Technika M19/15B television was not working three weeks ago. I promptly went to my local Tesco store in Carmarthen and asked for advice as the television was under a year old (purchased 29th June 2010). I was told by Tesco technical team to ring the tech support number which they gave to me, under instruction of this I promptly rang the support number and was told to firstly try using lens cleaner in the DVD player and then ring again if this doesn’t work. A week later I bought the lens cleaner which cost me over £7 and following this it did not fix the problem with my DVD player. After ringing the tech support team for the second time on the 31st January I was told to take my television, with a bank statement to prove proof of purchase of the television, to my local Tesco store and they would send it off to repair. I went to my local Tesco Extra store in Carmarthen on the 2nd February and was told by them that they did not send televisions off to repair. The man I spoke to was very helpful and promptly rung the tech support team for me, I spoke to someone on the phone, in store, who told me they would arrange a pick up date, however, the pick up dates are Monday to Friday 9am to 5am, which is highly inconvenient for a student teacher who works these times. I then arranged a date for half term and was told that Tesco were unwilling to pick the television up from my university as I live on campus. I was asked if there was any other address that the television could be picked up in Carmarthen, which is not an option for me as I live away from home and on campus. I have now had to arrange a date for the television to be picked up on the 21st February from my home address, which is 100 miles away from where I live currently. I think this is absolutely appalling that I now have to transport my television 100 miles and also spend money on petrol to get there. Also it is dreadful customer service to be told that I am able to have my television sent for repair and make a journey to my local store to do this, and then to be told I can have it picked up, to then be told that this can not be done either.

Hi,
Does anyone have any contact details for someone at Tesco who is likely to listen to/action a complaint?
The Customer Service centre cannot/willnot do anything via email or phone and claim to have not received written letters.
thanks
Hi there
I made a complaint against Tesco at icomplain.info.
After I made the complain, they finally resolved it for me. So maybe worth giving it a try there.
Good luck.0 -

They clearly didn't use that site to complain to Tesco, they are just trying to get it noticed by spamming forums. Spam button hit.0
