Of course you can! If you don't have all your statements put in a Subject Access Request and ask for all information - on ANY account, for as far back as their records go. You will find that making them give you your charges back will be the best possible medicine you could take.

I sent first letter and received there standard no and then proceeded with second letter saying will take to court after further 14 days. I received a reply from the second letter yesterday but from the Security Investigations Debt Recovery Division and underneath it does give A&L address in London!!! Dont know why this dept are now dealing with it as I dont have a debt with them and the Account has been closed for 3 years.

Which address in this case should I put on the court form??

I need the above questions answering but this is also a joint account so do I need to do new mcol log in for joint names or will it be ok to use the one set up just in my name?

I received a reply to letter 2 stating that the bank could lawfully charge me as it was stated in their terms and conditions. I am going to start court proceedings after easter, but just wondered what address do I state for Alliance & Leicester?

just got a letter sent to my English address,a&l have said they're goin to defend,tryin hard not to blink!

Good luck although its worth noting that the banks have bearly ever gone to court...I wouldnt worry too much.

i have just joined this forum and would like to know if anyony has had any success with Alliance & Leicester. I asked them in February for my statments of charges, but still got nothing i have paid the standers £10 which they havent cashed yet i think they are delaying things.how can i get them to send them

Please read the FAQ in the Reclaim Help thread in my signature.

How long since you sent the letter? Was it sent by Recorded delivery? They have 40 days to provide this information.

Oh well wish me luck I have just put through a claim for £956.04 inc interest and court fee!!

Just had the second letter from A&L saying charges are fair, etc., etc. It mentions at the end that I can go to the Financial Ombudsman if I wish. Can someone confirm that this is a "standard" second letter please? Just want reassurance before I take them to court ...
