They received my cheque on the 27th February but it didnt go out of my account until 8th March and still havent received the list of charges so they are not exactly quick!0 -
Thank you bobbydrake50, i thought maybe it had been misplaced and that is why they havent cashed it, i have every faith that the money will come out of my account now, once it is out i will be truly happy as i see that as the first step to getting my money back.Experian credit score as of Feb 2016 - 116

Hi kirstyrose,
I have an internet bank account with A&L and you can send one when you log onto your account. i havent seen evidence of an email address for them anywhere else.

Hi jolly,
I put through a claim against th above first week in Feb and within two(2) weeks i had received a cheque for £4903.50 court fees inc. The cheque came with a letter stating that they will be disscussing the matter with me in the near future!! You can read the out come of my claim on this site which i thin i'st on page 82 or poss 83 somewere in the 80's.
Good luck with the claim.0 -
Can anyone Help?
A couple of weeks ago i successfully claimed charges against the above for the last 4 years. But since the begining of the year i have incurred more charges. Has anyone taken the same bank to court twice over charges and had a result?. I may yet take action later on down in the year after the dust has settled.0 -
Hello All
I thought my first post should be good news, I followed the advice on this site and ten days after claiming £870 via Money Claim the Alliance & Leicester sent me a cheque for £904.63.
I have been following the posts of others and reading with interest the run around you have been getting.
Maybe for once I have just been lucky.
For those of you still waiting keep your courage and the best of British luck to you all, it is worth the sweet feeling that sometimes the little guy can beat the establishment.

Hi all,
I sent a letter to the Alliance & Leicester on March 5th, requesting bank statements for the last 6 years. However, in my naivety and absolute fright at daring to challenge a bank, I forgot to put a date on the letter and sent it by normal post.
I was just about to post another letter and cheque, after reading some of the advice on sending letters by registered post, when I noticed that they have actually cashed the cheque today!
Now all I have is the long wait to get my statements!
I'm quite anxious about claiming my money back. It such seems a scary process. But I'm going to stick to my guns and follow it through!
Its really reassuring to read through everyones posts, and see that success can be achieved
