kirstyrose wrote:Im wondering if anyone could give me some help. I wrote the initial letter and sent it away 4 weeks ago now with the £10 cheque to get my statements and have still heard nothing. But they havent even cashed the cheque yet so im beginning to think that they are choosing to ignore my letter.
Dont know what to do? Thinking of writing another letter and sending another cheque today and sending it recorded delivery so i know they have recieved it.
I assuming from what you've written that you didn't send the original letter recorded delivery. Therefore the only way you will find out whether they've received it is to ask them.
If they do not have a record, you will need to send another request.0 -
I sent my letter recorded delivery and they cashed my cheque with about 4 days, They still havent provided me with the statements though and the 40 days is up on 26th March. So be prepared for a long wait.0

No i didnt send the original letter via recorded delivery. Bit naive of me really as i suppose that is another way for them to avoid me taking it further if they have not recieved it, they could quite as easily got it and as it werent recorded filed it under "bin"!
Im going to do another letter and cheque today and send it recorded and then hopefully that will get the ball rolling!
Do you think i should include in this letter that i had sent one before but i dont think you got it as the cheque wasnt processed? should i state this or just leave it.
thanks for your help0 -

Hi Everyone,
Just to let those who've put in a claim with MCOL against A & L. Received the letter from A & L saying they were defending their claim on 8th March and received a cheque for the full amount, plus interest plus the court fees today. Total is £2162.21. Chuffed to bits.
Thanks to everyone for their help and advice.

Totally fuming here, Alliance and Leicester charges me £50 fees for being 15p overdrawn, And the best bit is I phoned them yesterday to see if a direct debit was due out "No nothing going out today" So I went an took money out, Then this morning I checked the bank and it had went out, I got charged £25 for the direct debit bouncing and a further £25 for an unauthorised overdraft.
I told the advisor this morning I had checked with them yesterday before I took money out and was told "The advisor musn't of checked correctly" I knew by the tone of her voice she thought I was lying. I asked for the money back saying it was unlawful "Aw its in our terms an conditions"  :mad:0 -
Hi, I'm in the process of reclaiming unlawful bank charges from Alliance & Leicester. I sent the template letter, and received an undated letter bank just before the 40 days was up saying that no charges have been applied to my accounts during the last 6 years - blatantly untrue! Has anyone else had this experience? Also, I've just checked and my £ 10 cheque has been cashed!!

I apologise if this question has already been answered but I am confused y the charges on statements and what I can claim back.
I have monthly od charges of £10 so not sure if I can claim this and also and unauthorised daily od charges of £3.50 per day.
Can anyone tell me if I can claim these?0
