I feel awkward for posting this now
It is intended to help one another as reps to increase our income by being able to pass on information to our customers. We are not trying to sell on here. I can't stand the Avon forum, one person in particular has put me off completely
So I like to stay here to get help. The only alternative is to set up our own forum, which I prefer not to do as I like MSE.
Ps I am so in love with Supershock Gel Eyeliner that I have several - can't believe I forgot to put that on my list
This thread is not a sales pitch, please let us stay!!
Hi MM,
Don't worry and don't feel awkward; think it was a brilliant idea of yours. Well done! :T
We all share our hints and tips and, of course, we all try and like/hate different products so your new thread is simply a lovely extension of that and, if it encourages someone to actually look at being an Avon rep to Up Their Income then that's a double advantage. (When I started as an Avon rep the only product I knew about was the SSS bath oil - what a great asset this thread is for product knowledge to anyone looking at dipping their toe in the water to earning a bit extra as an Avon rep.)

Surely personal recommendations are allowed - yes/no?
There's lot of recommendations and reviews (good and bad) etc on the No more toiletries threads
I love the Avon Senses shower gels - just a nice consistency and the hole is the right size so I dont end up with half of it down the plug hole! Smell nice too and excellent value when bought on offer.
Skin so soft replenishing dry oil spray - great for after shower as its quick to apply, smells lovely and leaves skin soft and smooth.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
Hi all,
I'm moving this to the health and beauty board as you are recommending products for general use. Please don't use this thread to promote your business.0 -

Thanks, MK; seems a good place to put it. Any chance of adding a link (if needs be) to the original thread please?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

My personal recommendations (not a rep, just a customer) have to be:
Supershock Gel Eyeliner - beats high-end eyeliners, better then MAC/Urban Decay! Amazing staying power, smooth application and rich colour.
Supershock Mascara - a surprisingly brilliant budget mascara, up there with my favourite Dior/Givenchy ones
All Nail Polish - except for the Matte range (horrendous, tried it a few times and every time it chipped within minutes!) and Colortrend range (cheap and nasty) - the regular range is brilliant, lasts for 3-4 days on me.
Overall I find Avon a bit of a disappointment, but i stick with it to find the true gems like the ones above! Every single foundation of theirs I've tried made my skin go crazy, and their perfumes are chemically and samey. Their eyeshadows are hit and miss pigment-wise. Even their skincare ranges make my skin break out, they must use some ingredient my skin doesn't like0 -

Hi SG and thanks for your input. Haven't actually tried the Gel Eyeliner yet but have heard from others it's great too. Deffo next on my list when I need one. (Am desperately trying to wear out my Benefits one which I bought for £14  - sure it can't last much longer - and then I can move on to try out all the Avon ones!)
Got to admit, am not a great lover of the Supershock Mascara (I tend to end up with panda eyes) but Ithe Supermagnify. Guess it all comes down to what you're looking for - my pet hate is getting a new mascara because it's just too 'full on' - much prefer it when it's half empty (if that makes sense). When I tried the Supermagnify it seemed like there was nothing there but when I did the second coat it was just perfect for me - natural looking and really does find all those tiny eyelashes that you didn't even know you had!
A customer recently told me how pleased she was with the Anew mascara + serum. Saw something recently in Boots for £15+ (or maybe £25+?) Anyway, as the Avon one comes free in C4 that should deffo be one I try next methinks.
As for the nail varnishes, to anyone trying the Matt ones please make sure you put a base coat on otherwise it WILL dye your nails.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

MarsdenCuckoo wrote: »Advance Techniques Overnight Elixir - which it looks like they're discontinuing and/or just repackaging? Certainly it's been appearing in the HT Clearance a lot recently. (Little white bottle with a purple top. Grab some @ £1 if you can
) I actually prefer this to the Dry Ends Serum, which I find is not 'rich' enough for my old locks.
I got some of this but wasn't sure what to do with it - does it go on wet or dry hair? It doesn't say on the bottle0 -
I gave my mum some of the Anew mascara as I didn't like the look of it, and she said it was lovely, have another one left over from my freebies, so I'll be trying that now0

I tend to put it on my hair dry; got to admit I never even looked for any directions. I have long hair so pop a bit on the ends when I go to bed at night and/or in the morning if my hair is a bit 'raggy' i.e. I can't get a comb through it. If I use the detangler on dry hair it ends up wet but this elixir means I can comb through without tugging too much and my hair just looks conditioned rather than wet. Hope that makes sense.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hmm.... think maybe I should too. I've had a few in my Treasure Chest but never thought to try them myself (as yet). Was really shocked though to see something similar in Boots for such a horrendous price.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
