Microsoft Money - Auotmatically Updating Share Prices

This is a long post so please bear with me. For those MS Money users out there, you’ll know that Microsoft have finally pulled the plug on their on-line downloads. This has been happening gradually - first with removal of bank statement downloads some time ago but up until the end of Jan share price updates were still being supported.
I'd worked around the Bank Statements by downloading statements from my banks and using an Excel macro to generate a QIF file for importing the statements. I'm now really annoyed that my investment share prices are not being update.
What I'm looking for is a way of converting price data in Excel (download from, say, Google Finance) to a file format that can be imported into Money (I want to be able to do this on a regular basis - typically a couple of times a month). From what I can gather, there may be a way of using an OFX file to import share prices but I was well out of my depth when I tried to decipher the OFX file spec.
I'm proficient in writing macros in Excel and if anybody can point me at simple examples of what the OFX file needs to look like I can have a go at producing something. Alternatively, if someone knows of another way of doing it I would be extremely grateful. I've got over a decade of my financial data in Money and I don’t want to change (apart from the download bit I find it an excellent and easy to use program).
I’m a newbie to this website and I hope that this is the right thread - if this is covered elsewhere then can someone please point me at the right direction.

Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.

Share prices just updated fine for me .. ?0

Many thanks Browntoa. However, this looks like it's for processing transaction information (eg, debits and credits) for bank or credit card account. What I'm looking for is some way of updating just the share price values (ie, there's no transactions).Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0

Thanks for letting me know - looks like something's screwed up my settings.
Something that would be extremely helpful would be if you could check your internet update settings for me. If I go to the menu “Tools->Internet Updates->Customise Updates” it takes me to a page titled “Customise Background Banking” screen where I’m presented with the statement “This file is not secured by a Microsoft Passport. To use background banking, please add a passport” When I click on the “add a passport” I get a “Sign in to Money” dialog box in which I enter my Windows Live sign-in name and password (which seems to work for everything else (eg, email and messenger)). However, when I enter this here, I get the message “Sign in attempt was unsuccessful”.
Any chance of letting me know what you’re seeing on the “Customise Background Banking” screen?

If I go into Money then it will show it has just updated(Online prices last updated 14/02/11 09:30 but the share prices are the same on screen now as they were last week so I don't think they have actually updated since the start of this month.0

I use Money 04 and my share prices were updating last week. They appear to have stopped today, although the FTSE 100 index is still updating. There is a lot on the net regarding micrsoft pulling the plug, along with a couple of workarounds apart from the one mentioned in an earlier post. This seems to work for some people. I have not tried it yet.. as I said earlier my share prices were updating. Apparently Money 05 users have additional problems. When the program is reinstalled a patch has to be downloaded. This patch will no longer be available. I did try adding links to this post for a different workaround and Money 05 users but was not allowed to. So search for "Ameridan's Microsoft Money Offline Weblog" then the link for the java app written by Hung Le.0

I have the same problem. MS pulled the share price update service overnight.
There is clearly a demand for this service. What are the alternatives to MS Money to manage my finances now Quicken has gone as well?0
