BBC News: Credit and debit card surcharges 'are excessive'

What part of 'albeit an indirect one' don't you understand?
There has been no change in my point; if you don't like one provider then use another. There are other airlines than RyanAir. How are either of those points inaccurate?
I even made it clear I was including indirect routes.
So again, I challenge you to counter argue the point I'm making, and not some other random point that I'm not making.
You didn't make it clear in your original posts. You only did that when you were called out on your claims.
You were originally trying to claim that there was always another operator flying to Ryanair's destinations. That isn't the case unless you live in MalkieWorld where you claim that flying out from Guernsey is a valid alternative. Pathetic and everyone knows it.0 -

Talking of pathetic your response with regard to Ryanair Customer Service (or lack of it) as testified to by numerous threads on this forum - albeit "second hand testimony" is even more damning "and everyone knows it":D0 -
"Second hand reports " - check the threads on here and take a reality check about what happens to passengers of Ryanair when something goes wrong.:D Everything on here is second hand which hasn't stopped you commenting previously.
With regard to the fuel charge levy I don't like it - but as I mentioned before on the BA website the prices include it - it's not an add on at the end,
Fine, you use your wonderful .. grossly over priced BA, I will use Ryanair.
You obviously have money to burn, this is MSE, unless that had escaped your notice.;)0 -

It hasn't escaped my notice - MSE also contains posts about consumers who have been abandonded by Ryanair when something goes wrong:eek: - has that ESCAPED your notice

But I'm 100% correct in that claim. If you disagree then please highlight which destinations are only served by RyanAir.
Grow up son. You came in with your childish "wah wah wah boo hoo hoo" comment and claimed that you can use another airline. When you were shot down in flames you (after a trip to wikipedia) try and recover any credibility you had by claiming that flying out of Guernsey was a viable alternative. Utterly pathetic!!!
You do realise that Guernsey is only about 50 miles from Dinard anyway? I do despair at the stupidity of some people.0 -
Any danger of you providing an example to counter argue my point rather than make personal attacks?Legal team on standby0

Of course there is always an alternative to Ryanair. You can walk most of the way though you would have to take a train or ferry to get to European destinations. The point is that there are no viable alternatives to many Ryanair routes. You don't have to like Ryanair or approve of all of their practices in order to fly with them regularly. I don't especially like driving to work, but I still do it.
Probably the most sensible idea I have read so far is for them to be forced to advertise the "full price" on the front page, then offer discounts for certain payment methods.0 -

The problem is that you don't have a point. You claimed there was always an alternative airline to Ryanair and when it was pointed out that wasn't always the case, you started to claim that a flight from Guernsey was an alternative. Thank God that there is a service from Guernsey, otherwise we all would have to listen to you remonstrating that the Johannisberg-Cairo-Naples-Lyon-Rennes-Dinard service was an alternative. Like I said...... immature and pathetic!0 -
Had to revisit this - wonder what the Ryanair fanclub made of the OFT's report on card charges.....
That "little magazine" did ok, did it not!0
