I challenge you again to counterargue my point, and not some other random point I'm not making.

You originally said "Don't like one providers service then use another." and then went on to say "There aren't other airlines other than RyanAir? That's news to me".

And as various posters picked you up on your inaccuracies, you tried to widen your argument to accomodate your mistakes.

The bottom line is that there is no other direct flight between mainland UK and Dinard/Pleurtuit airport. And that is countering the point you were making so please don't pretend that you weren't. When you are in a hole, its best to stop digging.

What part of 'albeit an indirect one' don't you understand?

There has been no change in my point; if you don't like one provider then use another. There are other airlines than RyanAir. How are either of those points inaccurate?

I even made it clear I was including indirect routes.

So again, I challenge you to counter argue the point I'm making, and not some other random point that I'm not making.

Whats your take on the numerous threads on here relating to the Customer Service from Ryanair when something goes wrong ?

They seem to give a whole new meaning to "avoidable " when it comes to helping and compensating stranded passengers :D

IE They avoid the passengers and avoid paying up

It is all relative, BA actually charge more in fuel surcharges than Ryanair do for their full flight price, how can they justify that?

You have "avoided" the question about Ryanair helping when things go wrong .....

I havn't " avoided " anything, I have never had any problems with Ryanair, I don't comment on second hand reports.

You have " avoided " the BA unavoidable fuel surcharge levy.;)

For those paying money for their flights, BA's fuel surcharge makes no difference to the transparency of the fare. During BA's booking process, the price for each leg includes the fuel surcharge, so it doesn't make any difference. It's only at the end that the fuel surcharge is itemised, and even then the all-in fare is more prominent.

The only people to whom the itemisation of the fuel surcharge makes a difference is to those paying with BA Miles, in that the fuel surcharge is added to a supposedly "free" flight, along with taxes which are charged by all airlines on mileage bookings.

I do have a problem with BA's fuel surcharge, but only on mileage bookings. As we're talking only about cash fares here (given that Ryanair don't have an airmiles scheme), fuel surcharges don't come into the argument.

"Second hand reports " - check the threads on here and take a reality check about what happens to passengers of Ryanair when something goes wrong.:D Everything on here is second hand which hasn't stopped you commenting previously.

With regard to the fuel charge levy I don't like it - but as I mentioned before on the BA website the prices include it - it's not an add on at the end,

You can get the ferry to St Malo, or fly to Rennes. People from the UK were visiting Dinard long before Ryanair started direct flights. Just because that option happens to be more convenient for some people, it doesn't mean it's the only option.

Going back to the original topic which was the card charges, I note from another thread on this board that people are reporting their Prepay Mastercards (the only card Ryanair doesn't charge for) are often being rejected whereas other cards (incurring the £5 charge) are accepted. So, that adds another level of difficulty to avoiding this particular "optional" charge.

    Suprise Suprise :D

God imagine if they ran trains - the toilet would definitely be a pound slot to get in , pay for a table -probably a seat as well on top of all the "normal extras"

The only card accepted for free payment would probably be an Albanian Pre Paid Card - available in Tirana and one Post Office in the Outer Hebrides.

Megabus seem to run a budget operation with far fewer charges than Ryanair :T
