Free AVG anti virus to be discountinued

We use AVG and Spyware Nuker and the two together do a very good job.

However, when we had AVG only we did get a very nasty virus which was a bit of a pain to get rid of.

But, with this said, AVG for free you really can't complain!!!

Wondered if you might know of a free Firewall download compatible with Windows 98, Martin's article on free PC stuff mentioned three free Firewall downloads - Comodo, Kerio and Zone Alarm but none of them will work with Windows 98, any idea's?

Why do you think Kerio won't work? I had it for years on a Windows 98 computer. I recently gave that computer away (about 6 months ago) and reinstalled AVG, Kerio and 3 anti-spyware programs without any problem, so it's not like I was using an ancient version of Kerio that managed to work with Win98

Looks like Zonelabs stopped supporting 98 in July, I think most companies will be following suit. Considering MS don't even support 98 maybe time to upgrade?

No longer supported, but I don't know if that's as important with a firewall.
