FREE AVG. If you've received a popup from AVG, the last option is to upgrade to new AVG FREE.
Get the new AVG free HEREEvery day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0 -
This is the third thread on this subject and the second one started today.
As pointed out, AVG free is not ending, it is being updated and you need to a fresh download to be able to use it.0 -
I've been using the new one for a couple of weeks and it's works great, looks a little better than their older versions. It's worth looking at their anti spyware package as well, again that's free but with the option to purchase the full version if you want keep on getting auto updates etc. after the 30 day trial period. You can't have everything....where would you put it?0

AVG is rubbish anyway.0

Would you care to recommend a better free alternative, or even to tell us all why the software rated highly by so many people is in fact inferior? Obviously you are an expert in this field, I'd be very happy to learn something from you. Feel free to place your full evaluation in the Techie's forum and put a link to it here if you'd rather.</troll>0 -
Personally I am a fan of Avast's anti-virus program, also free for home use

never used AVG so can't really compare I'm afraid, but Avast does the job for me.0 -
avg is great - much better than Norton which takes over your whole pc , have been using avg for 3 1/2 years and no viruses yet0
