there are some geniune buyers using the online site
I AM ONE OF THOSE AND I DO BUY AS SAID ALL OF MY ITEMS WITH THEM ONLINE!!!
I HAVE NO CHOICE!
There is no loophole! they tell buyers a lot of times which items are going to be £1 and then they cannot expect a lot of buyers not to use a way of bidding when they tell you which will be £1
I am only suggesting a way around things, they do not need to block web buyers it is unfair all they need to do is place some high priced items on schedule which are not to be £1 with low quantity and to those greedy few buyers that buy on the hope it is £1 get charged full closing price they can after all do this as they say it is a legally buying contract the price you say is the price you pay!
I assume you are a phone buyer? if you use them?
how about telling the phone buyers who complained about the web buyers not to then?
but that way at least it should be only genuine buyers who are the first few buyers, as if people take the risk of it being £1 and its not they get forced to pay the full closing price which is how it should be and if those people who did not want the item unless it was £1 get forced to buy at the price they confirmed then tough! eventually that way should cancel out the non genuine buyers!
people are entitled to 1 megadrop per item that goes for £1 but the odd few are now taking the mickey and buying more than 1 of the same megadrop, to stop this all they need is a t&c stating 1 item per megadrop per household!
the phone buyers also exploit the system you know! you will see when the website is blocked the same buyer often coming in twice as they are allowed to have 2 numbers registered to their same address!
so the way to sort this is 1 item per megadrop per household determind by address/phone number/i.p. address!
They are and will lose many more customers by blocking them buying in a way they are used to!
it is obvious they just want phonebuyers to buy via the phone to get the phone commission otherwise why should they not be unlocking the web buyers at the same time as the phone buyers?
and have you noticed the amount of new buyers during megadrops? highly unlikey there all new buyers!
i know what they are doing and it is a phone way of exploiting the system! so there are some
also you will see new buyer appear and then they claim it is a web buyer despite the web being locked!!! how the hell is that able to happen if the web is locked?
also they often do a jewellery avalanche were the next product sold has to go for less than the previous product!
if people like the price of the last product then obviously there going to be buying as soon as they can!
they are working up there own buyers, if there going to turn around on the tv and say oh its a web buyer that stole that 1 from you when the items near full price then there going to upset there own phone buyers!
they dont have to tell people whos buying and how!
when people come up on the tv/web as new buyers then that buyer has to buy a telephone buyer! why is this? because to be a web buyer you have to be pre registered so your name will show or web buyer will appear never new buyer!0 -
Right, let's take this one point at a time...
Do you agree?
Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
all i am getting from this post is cocky comments, no they do not have to sell an item to you
although they can also not mislead you and tell you, you can buy the whole days listings via the website, all i am trying to show is there is other ways around the problem for us genuine web buyers who have just been locked out of their systems rather than just commiting financial suicide
also should the company be buying the item thereselves to stop as many as possible buying the item then i assume that is highly illegal, eg buying your own products back to stop the price going to low, just like some ebay useres have been jailed for bidding on their items to up the price of their own items0 -
OK, I'm out. :beer:0

Why u out wealdrom, cant you see this guy is just wanting to buy online which is his LEGAL RIGHT as a HUMAN BEING.
This isn' money saving expert, this is money saving meanies.
He deserves to buy online, he is also entitled to his 2 year warrantly.
[/sarcasm]
Right, Basically, it's not false advertising, you have no consumer rights in this case. They can chose to sell their products however they please.
That is That. There is nothing else that can be said. END.0 -

high flyer is there really any need?
if a company tells you, you can buy online then yes you can buy online, if they do not let you after saying you can then they are false advertising,
i reckon most of these negative users comments are either the same buyer, company related or users from the set up site were the phone buyers are complaining about the web buyers!
please do not demoralise me all i am asking for is the voice to show dissapointment which is partially a reason why this site is here!
i have a general idea as to what consumer rights are etc, the 1 YEAR standard guarentee companies HAVE to provide, also the 6 YEAR guarentee a company has to provide should a consumer be able to prove the fault was there upon item purchase!
why the hell can people just not use this site for its given reason to voice out about our opinions when we are being shafted by companies, again the money saving forum has rules, be nice to other users dont just take the mick and degrade other users valid points at the end of the day as stated a company cannot tell you via air/online t&cs etc that you can buy all of the products coming up today via the website and then remove this access!
there are boards for this such as ofcom and all television programmes are heavily regulated and they risk serios fines, shutdown if they do not abide to what they say given the odd mistakes

Why dont you listen and understand what people are trying to tell you over and over and over again.
They do not have to sell you anything via the website at the same time as selling via the telephone. You have no rights. You have no case.
Yes, It may be a tad unfair but so is life..
Now please understand this and move on with your life.. If you try and take this any further you will have even more people laughing at you - Including Anne Robinson."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
If you really believe that they are falsely advertising, report them to the Advertising Standards Authority.
The ASA can decide whether or not the channel can still make the claims they make. They cannot however force them to sell something to you and they cannot make them review their business model.0 -
its a pity this forum is unregulated to stop the odd few members taking the mick and degrding users, something which they are aksed not to do, for which the report button exists
okay they do not have to sell you anything if they dont want to!
YET THEY CANNOT TELL YOU, YOU CAN BUY SOMETHING AND THEN SAY YOU CANNOT!
as for miss robertson, what she will do is listen to the web buyers should there be enough for why they feel they are being cheated on a silly executive decision, not along the lines of buyers have the right to buy, but we will take on the story as to why the web buyers feel cheated and unhappy!
have you read how i feel it is fair they do not let web buyers prebid on items which are megadrops? which is fair but they should be shown to buy now when they are on air!
i am just giving compromises! there are ways that will please web and phone buyers but when phone buyers think the items already gone to web bidders that is not so they can no longer prebid!
maybe if the company withhold the entire days listings during megadrops online but let them buy as they hit the air then it would stop the second guessers
as for the what disabilities will stop phone buyers! they asre out there!
does deafness not count as a disability or slow reaction disabilities or arthritus?
there are disabilities out there which would cause teh user serious distress or discomfort from using a phone which is perticulary bad when the company has other measures of buying in place elsewere! after all the web bsite was set up for people to use the web to buy!
all i am saying is when other measures are in place it is discrimination when they block 1 form of this access as and when it suits them!
another problem they have caused is what about those people who want to genuinely buy an item? wether a megadrop or not?
they are being forced to buy via the phone!0 -

As per my previous comment, contact ASA and they can investigate the claims.0
