  • No thats cool - and i appreciate what you said in your previous post about people ringing in on all items of higher value in hope they drop to a quid - never thought of speculative calls given that its expensive to call.

As for the phone - they always have old phones on sale though and its no wonder that went for a quid.

unfortunately people dont mind wasting the odd few pounds on phone calls wehn they are being allowed to cancel also noting this is the reason so many new buyers get megadrops as regulars use 2 numbers to get more tahn 1 which is wear i feel it is unfair

I think it's because some people seem to get a bit obsessed with the channel (not menentioning any names ;)) so go to extreme lenghts to try and get the megadrops!

buying an item on the chance it is £1 is something i have not and will NEVER do it just robs people who may want an item and for someone to cancel after confirming basically saying they are happy with the price at time of confirm is just wrong

once an item hits £1 though i will not lie if good i will try just as many others although would never buy before an item reaches a good price

I never realised that anyone bought things off those channels, they always seem to be selling poor quality electronics, god-awful jewelry and other assorted tat. I sometimes watch them as I enjoy the desperation in the pitching, makes me laugh.

Anyhoo on topic, they are running a business they can decide how to take orders and you can decide to buy or not.

Only 20 seconds left for this designer gold plated Butterfly shaped broach, recently mocked by Calvin Klein

again though granted they do not have to sell an item to you unless you confirm as that is were the contract gets formed

but tehy cannot say you can buy all our coming products online if you cannot

Firstly that link is dodgy as anything, those phones were flying off the shelf Before it dropped to a pound, very suspect.

Also that phone is rubbish no-one would buy that for £119 (its price before the drop)

that my friend is the problem

bargain hunters/greedy buyers do buy it at £119 during megadrops!

and tehn are still allowed to cancel if it does not go for £1

although on the up side it looks like tehy maybe contacing those who are confirming at full price with harsh letters

Quite often they're told how many megadrops will be in any period. If there's one left an only one product left then both the presenters and viewers can figure it out. Thats why they were going quickly already and you could hear them say "it must be a pound/this one" or something along those lines.

again a major problem as people will buy asap when they say so and so will be £1

i expect they are doing this however with the new t&c of tehy will revoke these buyers if the item sells at full price so if it sells out to fast they are then not obligied to sell you the product even if you have confirmed

thus leaving some very good items going back in the warehouse to be rescedhhuled and the fact they can say yes it was to ber £1 but we do not have to sell it now pefectly legal

you dont even have to speak to them on the phone you ring up press button 1 then another button and its done

but i cant see what your problem is they not really doing anything wrong

read through the entire thread, sorry it a big read now, but you may understand they are wehn you read how they are choosing to sell items despite saying you can buy it via the web, proven in the t&cs on the last page

    thankyou muchly to that poster
  • end of the day user who think i just get megadrops

megadrops are in place to reward buyers who shop with the company year round and entice new buyers

i shop with teh company year round so feel entitled to my reward

i will not agree to greedybuyers who buy more than 1 megadrop per item however nor will i agree with thoe who buy on the chance it is £1 and cancel wehn it is not
