haha thanks you two, well at least I know from a ladies perspective the idea is sound.

Now just to buy a load more tea lights tonight on the way home.

Nearest Ikea is a good hour and a bit away. Bought some from supermaket, took just under 150 tea lights.

Jewellers called the house at the weekend, OH answered so I quickly took the call. The ring is ready but I told OH its another 2 weeks away. I specifically told them not to call the house.....

So off today into town to pick it up, will leave work a little early so she doesn't suspect anything. Main problem could be the weather.

Well I think you have a good chance of it working then. And even if the candles go out, she'll still be able to see the message and you'll laugh about it in the future.

Well even though there was very little wind it was still enough to blow ALL the candles out.... so I set it up inn the kitchen instead.

She said yes but after three kids that was never in doubt I guess.
