had pay day so thats £1,000 to the ring fund. Haven't paid HMRC yet as they are meant to be writing to me first, but have taken out of the fund the £2,000 ready with a further £1000 not due straight away.
So sitting at £3,000 ring fund at the moment, I do however have to buy some more heating oil which will see me though all of this winter and into next. So that will cost a bit I expect.

Just ordered 1500 litres for £900. Should have ordered it in July when it was sightly lower, oh well.

Its always a bit of a gamble when to buy. Nevermind.... at least if it's higher in September you got a better deal!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

Hi all, went to the jewellers today and had another look at rings and she has changed her mind, she's made a good choice and should be made and ready in 10-14 days.
Not a whole lot of other info to report really, still need to send DD2 DLA form off....

Morning all,
Got an expensive couple of months coming up with having to pay tax credits back, I am expecting a tax bill also and finally have the balance on the ring to pay.
Need to get my skates on and sort out the whole "proposal", I have emailed the jewellers so they call my mobile rather than house phone when it is ready for collection, so at least there is some element of suprise.
Gutters will have to wait until start of next year now it seems.
OH went to see her consultant this morning and they won't allow her to go full term due to previous complications so she will be induced at 36 weeks.

Hope all goes well - when is 36 weeks up?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Lol I know I know :rotfl:
At least I am consistent though!
36 weeks is end of January, at least it spreads the birthdays otherwise we would have had four in February.

Looking for a bit of input on my proposal idea. If its cr*p then tell me I won't be offended in the slightest. I'll have to do it in the next week to two.
Currently I was going to wait until dark and let her go upstairs to our room before bedtime whilst I quickly spell out "will you marry me" in candles out on the drive. Now do I wait outside on my knee for her to see as she does the blind or do I quickly rush back inside.
Then was going to arrange for some flowers to be delivered next morning.
As you know the whole romance thing is not my strong point, looking online all the ideas are perfect if you don't have to worry about babysitters so my proposal has to be at home.
Thoughts?
So do we think this is a good enough proposal idea then? It'll have to be in the next week or two when I do it and my plan so far was to

I think it's a great idea but logistically how can you light that many candles in the time it takes her to walk upstairs?!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

I was going to stick tea lights to some cardboard from work, light it in the garage then carry out the pieces. (and hope its not a windy night :rotfl:)
There is the risk she see me carrying it out, so the only solution I had thought is close the blinds prior and once ready and upstairs get her to open the blind thus revealing the message. Minor details I can iron out im sure, more checking the overall idea.
