I didn't until this morning! Apparently there are two parts, the inability to concieve caused by the lack of ovulation which is linked to obesity and is very common.
The second part is the ability to concieve (like me) but the much higher risk of miscarriage, which they believe is cause by a raise in insulin levels which causes the placenta due to blood clots. This rings bells as it mirrors my exact symptoms.
In the US there are studies into whether insulin can be given to overcome this... but I can't find anything in the UK.
So I will talk to them Tuesday.
All in all... a bit of a shock, especially when the nurse said you must be relieved that there is nothing wrong...! I'd like to see her have 3 miscarriages and then be told she has PCOS and call it nothing wrong!!
Thank you for the kind words. We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

Apparently the sugar in a banana can make you feel better and raise your energy levels. My Dr recommends them.
maybe your DS feels better when he eats them, which is great news after being so poorly.

Morning All,
Only did an hour and a quarter at work today, I'd had enough by then. I am really struggling with it, but just need to get my head down and get on with things
I restart my voluntary job in a couple of weeks, and am really looking forward to that, so hopefully that will pick me right up.
JulieG sorry to hear that, the nurse sounds like a right tottie, I would have struggled to bite my tongue if I had been you. I hope they have some suggestions for you next week. I got on OK. The cyst is the same size so it looks like its probably permanent, so I need to see the gyn. now, am just waiting for an appointment. I am hoping they can do some sort of needle drain or something, I do not want it removed if it can be helped as its the only ovary I have left!
Redruby, hope today is OK for you, and DD gets through OK too. xx
Tru, I am so mad for your DD right now, our department did this two years ago with some of the staff, and caused them all sorts of upheaval. One girl went from working 9-5, to working 1-9pm, and because she was catching buses, she wasn't getting home until after 11pm at night!
Tappers fingers crossed for the MOT
Adelight you are sounding a lot better, are you, or are you just hiding it?
Lou I hope you feel better soon, and DH gets the answers you need from the hospital.
I am off to clean, my house has that air ofneglect about it just now  Dinner tonight is Toad in the Hole with mashed spuds and veg, I will also attempt some cheese pie, but without the pastry (thanks Tappers) and make some Empire Biscuits for the boys. Busy night tonight, Fottball practice and Cubs, mum's taxi will be clocking up the miles
Have a good day all,

Hope you don't mind me sneeking in. I have PCOS. Instead of insulin treatment the drs might prescribe a diabetes medication called metformin. For some it can help. Sadly not for me.Put the kettle on.

My Dr said that if you have two miscarriages in a row or 3 over your life then you get refered to the fertility clinic.
But I found this hard as I had to 'prove' I was pregnant!!!
i took photo's of the positive tests, and then had to have blood tests to prove I was (but these were taken while I was miscarring)
She was reluctant to refer me, but since I miscarried in June and October last year and they were close together, I didn't give her much choice. I told her I wanted a referal.
I also lost a Pregnancy before that (in 2004) with my ex... with the exact same symptoms. We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. i've had two (poss 3) but were 5 years apart. was just told they were 'one of those things'. strange how it varies from area to area"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

Oh! I will note that down... because they had better do something. Yesterday the Dr seemed so dismissive x
