  • Good Morning All

Its Thursday already :j very nearly the weekend.

Grey here, but not too cold and no rain at the moment so not too bad for Feb. Have a busy day on my 2nd job and essential office stuff. No hours on my 2nd job tomorrow so once today is done thats it for the week.

Had my Dad popping over for a while today, he is then off to my cousins to start sorting uncles funeral. No date as of yet - seems nowdays it takes a lot longer than it used to.

Chilli for dinner tonight - just off to get the mince out of the freezer. Need to write a shopping list for tomorrow, its Iceland shopping this week. Hopefully don't need much as funds are tight :o

Thats it for me, have a good day all.x

    Morning all

Overcast, wet underfoot and rain forecast - lovely - not!! DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. I got up at 6.30am and did half hour of aerobic exercise, I'm going to be so gutted if the scales don't show a loss tomorrow but I do feel better in myself and my clothes do feel a little looser.

Dinner last night was fish pie and veg for me, DS1 and DS2 had sausages, hash browns and veg and DH had fry up. Went to the choices evening with DS1 wasn't a very long meeting, but have to go back for appointments with his teachers next week - that will be a longer meeting. Did remember to get the pork chops out of the freezer, so dinner tonight will be pork chops, mash, and veg.

Going to get my haircut shortly, then dad is taking me to collect my car, will be so pleased to have her back, don't like driving around in DH's - it's too big for nipping round town etc. Once have these jobs done, need to organise 2 1st bday prezzies, for my niece and best friends girls. Will also then need to do the normal round of any washing, drying and ironing, housework and menu plan, shopping list.

    Need to get organised.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

    Morning Al,
Poppydog - not in this house lol, usually I am the first 1 up & have time to sort myself out before having to interact with anyone else, but DP has a couple of days of agency work which meant he was up at 4.15:eek: so was woken by his alarm, tried to go back to sleep but lazy dog who doesn't normally rise before 10 has a bug up his @ss & has been up & down like a !!!!!s drawers tap tapping away on the laminate floor . Typically DS decided to get himself up & have a bath at 6.30 (I'm usually still trying to get him up at 7.30) he even got his own breakfast :Tso I fed the fish & the birds, made myself a cuppa & came back to bed to find that aforementioned dog has robbed my half bar of chocolate & is curled up fast asleep in the middle of the bed :mad:So not a good start to the day.
OSwise not a lot to do today, stairs need hoovering & the paintwork wiping down & I need to make some rolls to go with the chicken stew & that's about it which is just as well because I'm shattered already :)
Hope those that needed it had a better night.
Hugs, spoons & hi5's as needed.

    Morning All,

I am definitely a morning person, can get loads done before 2 then I slow right down. I always make appointments in the morning if I can.

JackieO I share a birthday with DGS Jack. Lets hope we have sunshine this year, last year it was snowing:eek: Pisces are usually calm relaxed and artistic, I think I was born on the cusp:rotfl:. I live with 4 Geminis:eek:talk about split personalities.

4 things to post for ebay this morning and chickn curry for tea tonight.
House is really bugging me at the minute. One room in chaos cos its being decorated although nothing done since last wk end as DH has been too busy and DS is a lazy s@d:mad: he thinks if he has been to work then he should be able to sleep for the rest of the evening and the spare room is a tip cos he is sleeping in there.

Mount washmore has errupted again but still haven't found the hole so will have to hang inside. Hamster and wheel comes to mind:cool::cool:

    Have a good day everybody J x

    Morning :hello:

I'm not posting much at the mo because there's hardly any OS going on in this house, lol. I've been mostly sat on my bum for the last couple of weeks :D I had a frozen shoulder before Christmas, faithfully did my shoulder and arm exercises and it was improving. So I decided to start doing light things again - big mistake. A huge knot appeared in my muscle, it was so hard it felt like bone when I touched it, and the muscle kept pinching a nerve. Mr tru was putting brufen gel on it, very lightly. But that slight touch actually made me cry, I've never known pain like it. I had a choice - put my arm in this postion and it was agony, or that postion and put up with pins and needles. So I started different exercises and it's eased a lot. Can't believe I'm happy to be able to do housework, I've been soooooooooo bored :D

Job hunting continues but it's getting me down, why do most shops think people can manage on a zero, four or eight hour contract? Mr tru has had a good business opportunity, should start about mid-April.

We found out that the local feed supplier is being taken over by Countrywide, so we won't be using them anymore. We've found another one, run by a local family so they now have our business. They're cheaper too :D On our way over there, we spotted a butcher's shop, local meat and butchered just up the road so we'll be using them too.

The girls are laying 7-9 eggs per day and we've sold most of them :T We have a couple of new regular customers so we're making a bit of money from that. We buy a sack of feed once a month for £8, sales for this month so far - £15.60

It's so nice to able to use both hands to type.

Well I'd better go and swing my arm about for a bit, then jump in the shower.

    ETA
I meant to say, miss tru is job hunting too. When she started her job they asked her when she was available, she said she could do every shift except 6am-10am, because the bus service down there doesnt start till after 7am. They recently moved everyone's shifts around, and all of hers were 6am start  She told them again that she has no transport, was basically told 'tough' so she had no choice but to leave. She's been there less than a year, so can't do anything about it.

Thank You everyone for all your kind wishes yesterday, it meant a lot x

I was in so much pain last night, but today I just feel like i've been run over by a bus!

They have found that I have polycystic ovaries, which explains A LOT about some of the problems I have... but they can't tell me if this is the cause of the miscarriages! EDIT: Did some research... apparently PCOS elevates the risk of miscarriage from 15 - 20% to 45 - 50%!

So hopefully the other tests (for which I get the results on Tuesday) will shed more light!

Well today we have having leftover Pesto Pasta for dinner (nice and easy), then my son goes to cubs and we will do the shopping at Tesco and Sainsbury's while he is there!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day x

Ps. JackieG how did your tests go?

    urghhh i hate mornings.
Don't know how people can get up and be so cheery . Still most of the time i can't sleep past 4:30am, yet i can'tt drag mysedlf out of bed.

woke up with another bleeding headache today, four days in a row:mad:. Think i've got snips cold, oh what a blessing not.

Finally got a fridge yesterday, the old is well and truly knackered , so its off to the tip in the sky. Only taken 10 years of pure abuse off us. before it decided enough was enough.

So have to sort all that out today. Oh the joy.

Also have to go to my course today and then rush to the physio for another assessment. Fingers crossed all will go well.

Then rush back for snips, coddy finishes at 4 today, then he's off to cadets. So another busy drawn out day.

But its sunny!!!!!!!! Freezing but i can see it :D:D:D:D

    Morning folks
Tru - how rotten about Miss Tru's job! Hope she gets something soon. Hope also that your shoulder continues to improve. I remember my mum had a frozen shoulder when we were young. V painful.
RRuby - how's your dad? You thought he may have caught your lurgey. Hope he is feeling better for being home. How's your mum? Take care of yourself remember!
re mornings - I'm not too bad usually but have found this winter really tough. I'm using a light box thing for the first time this year and I think it does help.
Off to Lidl soon as I think it's today that they have wool on sale including 100% cotton so am keen to get some. DD will call round and come with me and then we can have a coffee somewhere.
Planning some baking today and will also make some oatcakes. Used to make them when the kids were small. Will have to hunt out a recipe but it's fairly basic. Thanks for the info about this month's Good Food magazine. I bought one and am really pleased with it - the booklet of money saving recipes has some good ideas in it. haven't read all the main mag yet.
ok, off to wash some odd things like DH's rucksack and my slippers.
Sunshine here - hope you all see the sun at some point today!
