Hmmm, why does this forum software think that free loaders needs censoring with question marks?
IanI am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

We don't get anything from the clamping company and to date they haven't had anything yet as the signs are working and no-one has been clamped. Once the law changes, the !!!!!!!!!!s will know they can park with impunity, and they'll be back in their droves.
Clamping is a cheap, effective and unobtrusive solution to preventing inconsiderate motorists from blocking private land with their vehicles. Yes, there are other solutions, and we will be forced to implement one or more of them despite the many drawbacks.

You have a low opinion of your fellow citizens.
Me? Nothing come be further from the truth; it's just a tiny minority who seem to want something for nothing no matter how much it inconveniences others.

Because they cost upwards of fifty thousand pounds to install. Notwithstanding not being able to get permission to install them.
Oh please, £50k! A quick search shows access control booms available for around £600 and code/card readers for £200.
Card Reader
Barriers
Get a grip, its going to be simple from next year. Comply with the law or don't. Your choice.Profit, from clamping? It's not the landowners/occupiers who make the profit, but they are the ones who are expected to carry the costs.====0 -
Unfortunately, my solution will have to be boxing them in by parking the vans around their car.
I hope your vans fare better than our poor car park barrier did!

Hmmm.....You continue to come up with silly rhetoric, such as this, but you have no answers to proffer.
What's silly about that? All I am stating is that when the ban comes into force private clamping will be illegal. On the other hand the councils will still have the power to clamp. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

And then you need to run power out to it, and connect it to the supply in the building, and service it.
Most large car parks do have a profit share arrangement, if you don't, that says more about you.
Yes, in my case, it says we don't have a large car park. Anyway, time for a missive to my MP to point out the many negatives on a ban on clamping.
