Another success storey to encourage you all out there!

Received my offer letter from Sechari, Clark & Mitchell yesterday offering to credit my account with the full amount of £3,800.

Letter sent requesting statements - 09.01.2007
Statements received/letter sent detailing charges to Lloyds - 21.02.2007
BS letter received stating charges are fair and that they are not default charges anyway etc etc. - 02.03.2007
Letter sent threatening court action - 08.03.2007
No response so MCOL started on - 27.03.2007
    Claim acknowledged - 13.04.2007
    Claim defended - 24.04.2007
Solicitors defence letter received - 29.04.2007
    Allocation questionnaire received - 10.05.2007
Questionnaire returned by hand to court - 27.05.2007

Then while waiting to hear court date.... Letter from Solictors offering full amount, whilst still claiming they've done nothing wrong. - 06.06.2007.

    Gotta laugh at them really.

Quite a lenghty process as you can see!! But keep going everyone. Thought I was going to end up in court, especially with the latest failed claims but no!!!

    Good luck all.

  • Sorry, me again! Can someone enlighten me (to save me trawling again) as to what the procedure is when the defendant (Lloyds TSB Bank PLC) don't even acknowledge the claim? I filed on MCOL last month and the deadline passed yesterday so I'm now going to click the "judgement by default" button. Does this mean I've automatically won, or can they still put in a defence? (I have to admit I'm a bit worried by the fact they haven't done what they usually do and pass it over to their solicitors!)
    Thanks in advance!

Hiya, click judgement it will then be requested and then they will process it. I hope you get it, if they defend in the mean time the judgement will not be processed and an acknowledgement or defence will prioritise it, the courts seem to process these even after the date has passed, it's just happened to me, they have acknowledged 4 days late and the courts allow it  good luck, let us know how you get on,

I cliamed £800 off Lloyds TSB and on 21st May i recived a letter saying that they would pay £750 "goodwill" to my account, and it would be in my account in 10 working days.

Well it has gone past 10 days and nothing in my account!

We are having the same problem, have you received the money yet? Does anyone know who at LloydsTSB is best to contact regarding this. The number my fiance has tried never gets answered or it's out of hours and mailbox full.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if the bank have a time limit to get the funds into your account??? Sending the letter back today saying I will accept their offer.
  • I got a letter from MCOL today saying that an acknowledgment of service of my claim has been filed. It say the defendant has 28 days to file a defecence. Does any know what happens next?

As this is new to me!
