for christmas last year my girls and oh bought me a magimix and now i have to say i wouldnt use anything else:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

i spent ten years as a commercial kitchen engineer repairing equipment everyday, the only make that is used in a commercial kitchen is magimix, not the cheapest but comes with a 5 year motor warranty,it will take whatever you throw at it and come back for more , parts are cheap and easy to find and it wont be "they dont make parts for that anymore" if it does go wrong in 5 years time, i didn't ever see a kenwood anything in a professional kitchen, they wouldn't last a week with the punishment chefs dish out
all very useful info if you are buying for a commercial kitchen but my feeling is the kenwood will do for most domestic uses if you don't have £200 knocking about for a magimix -my mums kenwood stand mixer is near as old as me...
Me got a kenwood fp for my mil and she loves it - I have the fp attachment on my kenwood chef and it is a bit too small so I would second the suggestions that you go for bigger than you needPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I was about to start a similar thread when I saw this one
DS likes cooking and I've bought him the Jamie 30 min meals book, he says we need a food processor (by tomorrow)
and I noticed this one in argos half price that includes a blender mentioned above
what I want to know is, is it easy to clean in the DW and does the slicer work well?I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Also I dont really have the spare cash, have bought some presents with some of the giftcard and have about £170 left over so thought I would treat myself to a FP0 -

Good idea to buy from argos, they are really good about replacing things if they go kaput within 12 months, no Q's asked.
They replaced my dehumidifier after 10 months and my broken MR breadmaker after a similar length of time (with an updated model too, because my broken one was defunct) Just remember to keep your receipt safe.
