Seen this one on argos but do I really have to spend that much to get a good one?

    Thanks

If you're going to use it a lot, it's worth spending the money to get one that's well made and has a big motor :)

More in this thread; I'll merge this later.

  • If you can afford it and are going to use it a lot get a magimix, they are robust machines and last for years.
  • I had a quick look at the list on Amazon, and you should check the spec., as I'm not sure if it comes with the same amount of attachments. Best to open two tabs and compare them side-by-side, but its got a 1000w motor so will be powerful and the brand speaks for itself.

I have an AWT Breville, that dosn't peel, but it chops/slices/grates, it has a blender, it beats and I'm sure it makes dough, I've never used it for that.
  • I have a Kenwood Multipro and it does all that you asked except peel - it has become my kitchen best friend!
  • Hiya

Need some advice/recomendations on what to purchase in the food processor/mixer line.

DH is buying me one for my Christmas gift and I still haven't a clue which one would be most suitable for my needs.....

I currently have a tesco value hand mixer for cake baking - bake usually at least once a month.

DH also bought me this blender to replace ours which got broke a few months ago which I use for soups, salsa and other like things.

I currently have a processor which I use (on it's last legs) for soups, chopping apples to make wine, grating large amounts of cheese, pastry and other things that currently escapes me - apols.

I know it's each to their own choice but I would really value some advice and what people prefer.

I was looking at the Kenwood FP950 but after re-reading reviews i'm not so sure.

Looking to spend around £170 - happy to spend less on a good one but not too much more if I can help it.

Thanks to all Old stylers in advance

ETA - I have done a search but can't find many definitive answers - perhaps i'm looking too hard

  • My old Kenwood food processor (looking to replace it - given me 10 great years of service) did all the above bar peel.
