Since then I've been out for dinner once (low PP pasta for main, garlic bread & cheese for starter. Oops!) and have a lunch at Frankie and Bennys today. I'm going to try and be good but I promise nothing

I'm confused- I want to start weighing myself at home now (as I probably won't have time to go to Boots come September), but in that case I don't need to be weighing myself with clothes on, so how do I go about making the change to my losses? Should I just take, say, 2lbs off each weight I've recorded for the clothes?0
-
Just wear clothes
I wear roughly the same things each week I get weighed - jeans and a tshirt. I probably weigh 2lbs less if I'm nekkid, but think about weighing yourself in winter - clothes on methinks

True
I'll muddle through for now then, probably translate it down to pyjamas rather than jeans (might even keep some especially for weighing!)

sorry to sound thick but I'm a bit confused - I don't understand how you can lose weight by eating an extra 49 points on top of your daily allowance.
the woman put me on 31 a day, but things I used to like have increased so much in points I dont want to eat them, eg a boots prawn sandwich was 3 points and is now 7pp!
is there a guideline for how many points to have for each meal eg on the old plan it was 4 for breakfast, 5 for lunch 7 for tea
sorry again, I'm just really having trouble working the new plan out.0 -

It's fine, Weight Watchers worked it all out so that your daily points are the bare minimum you should eat in order to lose weight and remain healthy. The weeklies still keep you on the right side of weight loss (basically ensures that the calories you eat are less than the calories you burn throughout the day). But if you don't have them all it's not a problem, as long as you have eaten your dailies.
I think the best thing you can do is avoid comparing old and new points as they're so different. Although the increase from old points to propoints is also reflected in your increased daily allowance, so you're not having anything different. It's just that propoints are calculated from more nutrients than the old points.
I'm not aware of any guidance points-wise, but I'm sure people on here will tell you what they have, it's also personal choice: some prefer a bigger breakfast, others not, that kind of thingI tend to have cereal for breakfast at 5pp, lunch is around 10pp and dinner around 15pp (which makes it to 30pp, leaving me 7pp for snacks as I'm on 37 at the moment).
Hope this has helped a little bit0 -
Mary, I think it depends on how you want to work it. I tend to use a lot of points for breakfast as I find that I don't then have to eat till about 1pm. For me a day might look like this:
Breakfast - 2 eggs scrambled with wholewheat toast / 8PPs
Lunch - Warburtons wrap (best thing ever) with chicken and salad / 5PPs
Dinner - bolognaise (homemade) 4PPs with 60g wholemeal pasta 6PPs / 10PPs total
That makes 23, and I use up the rest of my 30 with snacks.
Equally, I might have toast and fruit for breakfast and have another bigger lunch.
Once you get your head around how it works, you'll be fine, just keep asking us questions and we'll keep them right0 -

Hi Mary
The ProPoints in food is calculated differently (using Protein, carbs, Fat and Fibre) than the points (sat. fat and kcals) were, this is why some foods are higher ProPoints than they were on Points. There is no set guide as to how many points for each meal as everyone use their points differently. You really need to try and train yourself in the way of the Propints plan as it is the only one WW leaders are trained on now.
As long as your Propoint food and track it all you can have it.
I am on 29 PP a day and generally eat about 7/8 for breakfast, 9 PP for lunch and about 12 for dinner and use my 49 weekly's for treats unless I use less during the day.
The Weekly PP's are designed to make your life easier, by not having to save points during the week for that night out or meal out.
If you have any other questions post them here or PM me and I will try my best to answer them

lost 2.5lbs this week so up to 17lbs now. Just 2.5lbs off my 10%
.
Also worked out that I need to loose 48.5lbs in total to get to gold, so... 17/48.5 gone!0 -
thankyou for the replies, I think I just got so trained in the old programme I can't clear it out! honestly I used to know the points in everything!
Are all the veggies that were zero before still zero? I used to make loads of zero or low points stews soups and meals I need to get back into that.
are we allowed to share reciepes on here?
thanks again, I am excited about losing weight again!0
