We're going to be eating chilli and mince for weeks...I got to Tesco as the wee man was doing the reductables - extra lean mince was down to £1.32 for 500g - we've not got 2kg :money: :rotfl:~PKL

Ah but at Mickey D's at least you can have a reasonable meal and not eat all your daily AND weekly points in one sitting like you could with the pizza places...:oMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Or Wagamamas like I almost did tonight. Didn't do too much damage as my cold makes it hard to eat anything

Slow Cooker Chilli
Ingredients:
Two tins of tomatoes 0 points
Two tins of kidney beans (Tesco value, drained) 14 points
500g extra lean mince 22 points
2 beef stock cubes 1 point
50g red lentils 4 points
60g (approx) porridge oats 6 points
3 teaspoons gravy granules 1 point
2 tablespoons tomato puree 1 point
1 tablespoon garlic puree 1 point
Chilli powder - depends what strength you like it. I use about 3 teaspoons of medium.
Instructions:
Using a couple of squirts of calorie-controlled cooking spray, brown the mince in a pan.
In the meantime, drain and rinse the kidney beans and shove them in the slow cooker with the tinned tomatoes.
Stir in the mince, oats and lentils and give them a good stir. Add the stock cubes (in about 200ml of water) and the purees to give more depth of flavour. Add the chilli powder and give it all another good stir.
Depending on how your slow cooker works the cooking time will vary. I usually make mine about 8am and leave it on "low" while at work then eat at around 6. That makes loads. Again, working on one heaped ladle is one portion it makes around eight portions, at 6pp per portion.
Serve with whatever you fancy

sorry, my goal is to lose 90lbs as im over 20 stone at the moment x0 -
Morning all,
My slow cooker chilli is cooking away at the moment and looks lush. I've also worked out that thanks to my mince being reduced to £1.32 and the fact I'm using Tesco Value kidney beans and Aldi tinned tomatoes, it's only costing about £2.80 for the whole pot of it. Given that it does about 8 servings, that's 35p each. Very MSE :money:
I need to go and find food for work now. I CBA cooking this morning (as I've already cooked chilli) so I'm going to have toast for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. Too much bread there I think, but nothing else to be done. I've got fruit and WW snacks though, so I'll be fine. A nice low PP chilli to come home to as well
Happy Fridays to all

I decided this morning to weigh the amount of cereal I used to put in my bowl... turns out I was probably eating between 75-100g each time!
Don't think I could stomach that much any more, my 40g + a bit of skimmed milk is plenty0 -
Ok so I was feeling miserable with my cold and had extra errands to run this morning so missed breakfast. I ended up trying to have a Bacon butty (full fat) AND hashbrowns! But the joke was on me, cause I couldn't finish it! I was quite happy to use my weeklies for this splurge, but no dice! :j
Is anyone else finding this is the case? Like cause you are getting used to eating good stuff, the bad stuff isn't as yummie?
