Only lost half a pound last week, but I was very pleased as
a) I didn't deserve to lose anything!
b) I've now lost a stone!:T
I was getting a bit fed up as the stone seemed so elusive, I'd put half a pound on one week, only lost 1.5 the week after and then finally got there this week! So I'm now feeling rejuvenated and ready to get back into it now, 8lbs to go till I get to 10% so that's my next aim. I think I'll hope for the end of June for that, which will then give me another 4 weeks to lose the other 6lbs to make another stone before my holidays!0 -
I was wondering how you found the new PP please. I am an old time WW but I am finding it hard to get to grips with again and I know I have to go right back to basics - I want to lose at least a stone (14 pounds sound less, LOL) but it would be nice to lose 20lbs and get under 9 stone. Not been that weight for a very long time though.
I've heard some negative reviews about PP and people not having much weight loss and wondered how other people here have found it and how it differed to the old plan.
Qhat are you all eating, I really struggle with lunch. Also, do they still give you a calculator to use (the lsidy thing) and has anyone else signed up online, what do you get?
Thank you0 -
I like the new PP. Main differences seem to be that fruit is free, and that you have a daily allowance which must be used and can't be carried over, but you also have a weekly 49 points which can be used in any way you choose, either spread out over the week or all at once if you want to. I have used the full 49 points each week and have lost a stone in 8 weeks so I am happy with my weight loss. Not sure how others feel? You do still get a calculator but it's now based on protein, carbs and fat rather than calories.0

I read somewhere that if you're stuck without a calculator that in an emergency you can divide the total calories by 4o to get the number of ProPoints in a food - yes, it's pretty rough, but I've been having a look at some things I've been eating lately and it's not too far off to use at a push.
I am an online member so don't have a sliderule / calculator etc.
I'm still thinking they are steering us towards lean protein instead of carbs, probably because they make you feel full for longer, help keep blood sugar level etc.
I'm avoiding bread at the moment, suspicious that the days I don't have bread I get a loss the next day ( yes, I'm bad I'm a daily weigher) and some symptoms tie in with yeast intolerance ( sneezing, wind, migraines, but thankfully I don't get thrush)
I have been eating rice cakes in place of bread at lunchtimes - 99.7% rice, 0.3% salt, no added extras like snack a jacks have.
I still have a big ( 60g) bowl of bran flakes in the morning, or two weetabix, with sugar and skimmed milk.
Dinner will be chicken or pasta with salad or veggies, and I snack on fruit and the odd curly wurly or packet of quavers during the day ( 3 points for a curly wurly, 2 for a small packet of quavers, how good is that?)
Since 26th April I've lost 11 lbs, so it's working well for me, though I definitely have more than a stone to lose.:)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

My Mum and I joined WW 11 weeks ago. I got to goal last week and became a Gold Member! So pleased! Lost 1stone 2.5 lbs. My Mum has already lost 1.5 stone. The ProPoints is so much better than the last one, I found I was hungry all the time before buthaving fruit (and most veg) free is great. I love the extra 49 weekly allowance as well as you still get to have a life! Good Luck to everyone for getting to your goal and feeling great.0

Just wanted to add - I was a complete online WW point counter - when you get to goal and you become a Gold Member, although you get free meetings, you don't get online anymore! I was devastated!!0

Congratulations eeniebeenie on getting to goal.
You could pay £6.95/£15 per 3 months for e-source if you still want to use the online facilities.

Hi all can I join? I am currently 11 stone 3lbs and I want to get back to my goal of 10 stone. I feel so fat and ugly at the moment and really need to shift the weight for my holiday end of July. I hope I have given myself enough time? Good luck all! x0

Thanks for replying, I think I might well give it a go then and see what happens. But not this week. We are off on holiday next Saturday to DLP and they have little or no healthy food there and by the time I get back I feel so dreadful all I want to eat is healthy anyway!! But I'll be back at the beginning of June to start ready for my holiday at the end of July.
Actually, I did go back one before. I had reached my goal and put on again and needed to lose 8lb to get back to goal but the woman actually set my goal weight much lower - under 9stone - and I just felt that it was just something to get more money out of me and that put me off.0 -

HI, i'd like to join too.
Had a bit of a lightbulb moment on boxing day when a dear friends dear mother said that she thought i;d been putting on weight. Joined WW online and since boxing day have lost a stone (hardly a crash diet!) I would now like to lose another half stone and then stay on that - I think that WW online will be a forever thing now as I like the discipline of writing everything down.
Anyway Vikki (lovely name - my DD is called Vicky!) just because you feel a little overweight you are NOT ugly. Any shift downwards is a shift downwards and you will feel better so don't go all out to lose it by July. I just thought that as this was forever then I have to do it so i can live. I am 5'7'' and now weigh 10st 11lb, from 11st 12lb on boxing day.
Unfortunately my loving of red wine is a bit of a problem for meI wanna be in the room where it happens0
