Liquid soap - is there an O/S version?

No, it's not too bubbly but undiluted I think there's more than you really need in one "pump". See, I said I was a miser, didn't I?0

I have a foam pump from Pampered Chef. It cost about £7. You just add an inch or so of liquid soap and fill it up with water, and it comes out as foam. It lasts for ages. You can't use cream liquid soaps - only the clear kind. I didn't want to spend £7 on more pumps for the sinks in the 2 toilets, so I bought a bottle of Johnson's kids foam soap for £1, and use the measure from the Pampered Chef bottle as a measure, and it works better than the expensive one!0

erm isn't that more than hand soap??
It's a 750ml bottle, sorry not 250ml! Must learn to read!!:o It also doesn't have any unnatural fragrances of other things they put into normal liquid hand soap .
I've tried the bubble bath idea before, but it made my hands really dry.
Love the foam pump idea though! I have a face wash that does the same and it's lasted for aaaaaages!0 -
I wonder if the liquid flakes would work in a foam pump dispenser? I think I need to see if I can get some somewhere.
No Waitrose here though.
Dri-pak is the same brand that makes soda crystals, isn't it?0 -

Hi, I am very new to OS but have spent the last 4 days browsing through the starter posts as much as I can and have already learnt some amazing things! am only 25, and although my mum made a lot of her own food and is obsessed with kitchen gadgets and despite doing a food tech GCSE I did not develop my culinary skills beyond a bolognese after I left home at 18!
I feel that a lot of the stuff I am learning on here is the stuff my grandmother would teach me if I could go back 60 years and chat to her as a housewife then, but over the course of time and convenience of supermarkets throughout my whole life, these basic techniques (soda crystals- which before 3 days ago I never even acknowledged) have never had to feature in my life and yet I cannot believe the lovlely homely, simplicity of it all!
Anyway, I digress! otice people talk a lot about watering down milk/handwash. In particular wiith handwash, what on earth happens to the product after a few days that maybe we can't see, surely it must start to go 'off/stagnent' and become germy?? Yet another part of my logic reminds me that water is already in so much of these poducts anyway!
Can anyone shed any light on this!?! Thanks x0 -

I don't buy hand wash, I buy big bottles of bath foam (less than £1 for big bottle) and decant it into a hand wash bottle; I don't bother to water it down because it works out so cheaply. I'm trying Sainsbugs basics baby bath next, 17p a bottle
you have to find one that suits your skin, one of sains bath foams made my hands very dry
save your next empty hand wash bottle and try it
to wash your hands you need soap and water, I think we need to get away from the anti-bac mentality... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

If you are worried about watered down handwash "going off", just put in an inch or two at a time, water down and replenish more frequently.0

I always water down the liquid washing stuff, I just add a measure (lid) of water and shake it about a bit, I can do this a few times with the bottle and it makes no difference - indeed I think it's probably better for your washing machine because it makes less mess in the drawer.
I hope that makes sense.
Also agree with cheap baby bath stuff - brilliant.
Oh and the very cheap baby wipes are fantastic for us too, why shouldn't we pamper our bums?
great on taps too.
