If you have a pre-schooler ( or older!), then soapflakes are the best entertainment.

Give the child a washingup bowl of warm water and a balloon whisk. Let them then whisk in the flakes, bit by bit. After a while, you get a lovely frothy, creamy gunky that is great for messy play..can even be modelled if you get the mix very concentrated.

    Best therapy ever!!

When my boys were small I could buy BIG bags of flakes from Boots. I would put them in their bath - Bath bubbles.

Take boys out and put the day's dirty clothes in. Soak while getting boys to bed then swish around a bit, rinse and put to dry.

In summer the clothes went on the line and by the time I went to bed they were dry. In the morning the same play clothes went back on boys. No they weren't ironed unless the clothes were going-out clothes!

Will try these on my sofas I think! The cleaning stiff you get is so expensive, will still get the cream to feed them though. Thanks!
