That sounds interesting - I think I will give this a go myself. Where did you find jojoba oil and how much did you add?0

Hi Eagerlearner,
I've added your recipe to the main thread on making liquid soap to keep the suggestions together.
This thread may help with the washing up liquid:

OOOOh great, was looking for this as all my dispenser are getting low. Have got plenty of bubble bath, so I'll fill them all up with that.
Thank you!

Ascot64 and SmellyOldSock do give it a go, well worth it especially with the £0.99 5 or 6 packs of soap.
Dorry - I mainly do it to use less plastic and also save cash... for £0.20p I made 2.5 litres, and I know the chemicals are far less. I guess if you don't have time then £0.10p for a bottle at Tesco is better than £3 normal price stuff!
How much is in the Tesco bottle - is it 500ml? That means for £1 you would get 5 litres.
Making homemade, you get 12.5 litres for the same spend... if you ever have time this is so fun and rewarding too, whilst being green... xMFW #185

I'm currently feeling very smug & pleased with my self so I thought I'd share my rather ingenious 'invention'!
I know lots of people are against liquid hand soap because they're not good value for money compared with solid soap, plus the pump bottles that it tends to come in aren't always totally recyclable... but I really hate the slimy soap dish and the soap scum that seems to appear on the sink as soon as it gets used, so I usually ended up going back to which ever liquid soap was on offer at the supermarket.
But...I found a bottle of Dri-Pak 'Liquid Soap Flakes' in Waitrose which says it can be used for delicate clothes washing, etc. It's just pure liquid soap with no fragrances or detergents etc so it's gentle on skin. All I did was fill up a nice liquid pump dispenser I found in a local shop with the soap and added my favourite sandalwood essential oil, and VOILA! A gorgeous smelling, gentle on the skin, cheap liquid soap!
Plus my vegan mates are pretty impressed because it doesn't contain any animal products or palm oil!0 -

I'm a little confused - is it dry flakes of soap (in which case, did you add water and in what ratio?) or is it a bottle of plain liqud soap?
I will pop into my nearest Waitrose to hunt for it - sounds good!"Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

Great idea
Another option is to refill your liquid soap pump with cheap bath foam. I use the same bath foam to refill my showergel bottle too.

No, it's just a big bottle (250ml) of plain liquid soap. I haven't seen anything like it before, but looking on their website www.dri-pak.co.uk they do make the dry soap flakes too.
I agree though - why call it 'flakes' when there's no 'flake' to be seen!!0 -
How much does it cost by the way. Seems a good idea.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
