Lou, give that boy a big hug from me, I keep meaning to ask you if you are avoiding eggs, as those can also cause severe reactions.

    :D

no he doesnt like eggs ie scrambled egg. has it in things like cake but even then thats not very often.

all he has eaten over the past 24 hours is rice with peas (one of his favourite things!) and a few slices of banana. he's not eaten anything today

he is actually playing at the moment  :D

Afternoon everyone! I popped in early this morning but the thread hadn't been started yet and I had to leave for Leeds.

It's so sad to think of MSD not starting the daily anymore so it's an RIP from me too, with lots of thanks for her joy. I do now wonder about her friend in America... can't recall his name but she often spoke about him and his illness.

Going to Leeds was fine, coming back was a battle with the high winds. Had to pull over twice to get my strength back and it was very dodgy in the Dishforth/Leeming roadworks where there are very narrow lanes and the huge lorries are wobbling around. The A1(M) was closed southbound at Darlington cos of two blown over wagons and the queue was back to almost Durham

Breakfast was pre-prepared egg mayo - I was on the boil last night - and lunch was in Leeds. Managed to avoid the temptation of the sandwiches and pork pies and nibbled on lumps of cheese and raw onion. Evening meal will be some ham hock and a pile of salad. The bang on the head I got falling off the LC wagon brought me to my senses. :rotfl::rotfl:

So, no spend day (apart from fuel) and now going to watch The Chase (only for big Mark who is my type of man :o) and have some decaff coffee with cream.

Belated Happy Birthday to Jackie-O too, it all sounds as if you were thoroughly spoiled. Lang may your lum reek!
  • Hello all

having a bit of a mixed day, have been waiting in since 8.00am for Sky to come and install my free Sky+ box and they've still not been!!
DS had an induction for a P/T job which went well :j he is 17 and VERY shy and was saying last night he wasn't going to go so it was a real triumph for him to attend on his own and do the induction :j he should hear this week if he's got the job.
DD is at her ex BF's  she didnt say she was going there and I've a horrible feeling she's taken him back  she's been there for about 3 hours now, I really hope she isn't making the biggest mistake of her life.

Might treat DS to a pizza tonight to say well done.

Hope everyone is having a good day, will read through the thread in a bit, I'm too wound up about DD to concentrate at the moment :(

    hugs to all xx

His name is Tristan, Lady Liberty gave us an update yesterday. She said he is progressing slowly.

Just wanted to add the English translation to Time to Say Goodbye....

When I'm alone I dream of the horizon and words fail me.
There is no light in a room where there is no sun
and there is no sun if you're not here with me, with me.
From every window unfurls my heart the heart that you have won.
Into me you've poured the light,
the light that you found by the side of the road.

    Time to say goodbye.
Places that I've never seen or experienced with you.
Now I shall, I'll sail with you upon ships across the seas,
    seas that exist no more,
    it's time to say goodbye.

    Andrea Bocelli
When you're far away I dream of the horizon and words fail me.
And of course I know that you're with me, with me.
You, my moon, you are with me.
My sun, you're here with me with me, with me, with me.

    Time to say goodbye.
Places that I've never seen or experienced with you.
Now I shall, I'll sail with you upon ships across the seas,
    seas that exist no more,

    Both
    I'll revive them with you.
I'll go with you upon ships across the seas,
    seas that exist no more,
    I'll revive them with you.
    I'll go with you.

    You and me.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Many thanks for that - and it's good to hear he's doing OK. So sad to think that MDS was supporting him through his bad times yet she's gone first. :(
