OS Daily Monday 7th Feb

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 6th Feb. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all
Such sad news about MSD, she was such a kind lady & will be greatly missed.
I'm off to work soon, I made a banana & choc chip loaf to take in for my colleagues.
All the time hubby spent in the garden this weekend did him the world of good, he's much happier for having done something & not just sat indoors being grumpy.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all. Such sad news, but I think it will be nice for her family to see so many messages from all the big 'family' on here who will miss her.
Not much going on here. Back to school/ nursery/ work for the others and some baking for me. Savoury breads and coffee with my friend when our wee ones are at nursery.
I'm sad today for the families of MSD, Amanda Holden and Gary Moore.
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Morning all
Such sad news about MSD, with love and thoughts to her family and friends x
Dry but still very windy here. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Got up just before he left and have started the Couch potato to 5k running programme! Last bit of weight is just not moving so felt a helping hand was needed. Was hard work as I'm not a natural runner and haven't exercised for quite a while, but just took it steady and I'm so pleased I've made a start, feel good hormones have kicked in now and I'm absolutely buzzing!!
Not back to work until Wednesday - have lots I want to get done over the next 2 days so will be endeavouring to get it all done. Dinner last night was chicken and rice, tonight will be stew, dumplings, mash and veg. Will be dropping DS2 at childminder's and shooting up to Drs to get an appt, tried 2 days last week and couldn't get anything! Most get an appt today! Will get some decorating done so DH can get the walls finished.
Managed to get the shed cleared out Sunday morning and took lots to the dump that had just been shoved in there - so am able to actually use it properly instead of everything falling on top of you when you go in there! Have a good Monday everyone.
Need to crack on, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them x

Morning everyone,
Thinking of MSD's family and also Amanda Holden's loss:( As JackieO so aptly wrote:We all have to go through the pain of loss at some point in our lives and no matter how old we become its never any easier.
Hugs to all who need them, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
