So sad about Diva
I'm sure she didn't realise how fond of her we were, but I hope she knows now.
Yeah I hope she's looking down on all of us smiling at how much we all thought of her.
Feel really sad today and went to bed thinking about her and her family. I hope she got to see her beloved nephews one last time.
For you Diva as I know you were a singer Hope you are in a happy and peaceful place :A
Took Mia to vets, stitches can come out Saturday so she can finally escape the confines of the houseDid shopping, off to get DD in a mo.
Will be baking some brownies and bread this afternoon and need to do some housework.
Redruby - hope Dr can sort you out xx
Loulou - I hope Dr can sort out DS, I think he's far to young to be continuing with such a virus/bug etc. Hope you can get something to help. Hope you make it up with Alan too xx
JackieO - Hope you have a lovely birthday. Have a wonderful day in the bosom of your family xx
Butteflybrain - Hope you're OK xx
Sorry if I've missed anyone. Try and catch up later.
Hugs and spoons to you all.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I would just like to say how sad I am to hear of Diva's passing. I dont post on the daily as much as I should but when I did she always had a warm welcome and a kind word. I always hoped we would see her back on here.
RIP MoneySavingDiva - sorely missed0 -
So sad to read the news about MSD yesterdayI lurked for a while a few months ago when Diva started the thread most days with a lovely chatty cheerful post - my thoughts are with her family.
Happy Birthday to JackieO :bdaycake: Hope you have a wonderful day!
Loulou - you poor thingI had similar problems with my ds1 -I was finally told that he was lactose intolerant and he couldn't have any dairy for years. He's now 18 and fine (it's just cream that upsets him now) but it is so hard and tiring whilst they are little - constant nappy changes and mopping up sick and the worry of it all wears you out. I do hope you get some support from the Doctor and some sleep!! Try and look after yourself so you can look after your little one. Hugs to you.
I've been to work just for the morning today, walked the dog, usual clean and tidy and I'm going to make some banana flapjacks and banana muffins now to use up some squishy bananas!
Take care all0 -
thanks everyone. he has been lactose free since october/november time i think. also found soya milk upset him but not other soya products :undecided he usually has rice milk instead. steering clear of all of it for now.
back from the drs. said exactly what i thought they would. it will take a few weeks for his tummy to settle down. i argued that the vomiting should have stopped as he isnt having any dairy and he hadnt eaten for hours but the drs response was he must have  checked his ears etc again and no infection so its a virus (surprise surprise) he has started to come out in a rash as well but dr said is due to the virus or his temperature. the only decent thing the dr did was phoned and got him an appointment with paedtrician on thursday!
i worry with rashes, probably a bit ott (ok very ott) but have known a case of mennigitis, so i'm watching him like a hawk. i dont know what else to do"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
My DD's ended up with a rash after similar sorts of bugs. However I am a bit concerned that given his age they aren't bothered about him being unable to keep even water down. I mean how long now has he been vomiting for? Again how high does his temp get if he's not on the calpol?
I think you're right to be worried, I would be too. Have a hug xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

he was vomiting weds/thursday/ fri then stopped until last night. the other night when that calpol wore off his temp hit 39.9"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

Why oh why is the Dr suggesting it takes a few weeks for his tummy to settle down?! Sure when you have V&D bug then the D bit can drag on for a few days but I would have thought by now the vomiting should have stopped
No advice I am afraid but if you're really concerned and can't wait til Thursday then head to A&E. I really hope he's better soon so you can both get some sleep xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

who understands drs?? they said it was his allergy rather V&D bug. but thenursery are insistant that he couldnt have eaten anything that would have triggered it and they are careful so i trust them.
i think alan will say take him to a&e as he really isnt himself"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

DD was lactose intolerant when she was younger but thankfully grew out of it. She never vomited though, it was always runny poo, painful stomach cramps etc. Didn't realise you could be sick with it too.
Hope you don't get fobbed off in A&E x
