OS Daily Monday 7th Feb

Hi all,

Just popped in to say that my first day went ok

It was basically 8 hours in a windowless room, doing death by powerpoint :eek:. I was initially sent to the wrong room, and only discovered this by accident when someone asked if they were in the right place - 14 of us were meant to be somewhere else!

Tomrrow is more of the same, and Wednesday too. Then it's basic life support, and then if there's room on the course, 5 days of breakaway and restraint training :eek:. Then, after that, I might actually get to go onto my ward....

It's been an informative day, but I'm so glad I'll be working from 7am-7pm and visa versa, as at the moment it's taking me 1 and a half hours each way!

On a more OS note - all food when we're at work is provided free of charge and I was given £650 for a car we sold, today, one which we only paid £600 for :j

So, having traumatised my dogs by leaving them with my parents all day, one of them is asleep on my feet and the other is in her basket snoring :rotfl:. OH is somewhere hot and earning money, and although today was somewhat dull, I get paid for it :j

Hope the people feeling unwell get better soon, and hugs to those who need them.

Evening everyone. I have enjoyed listening to all your song choices for Diva. Goodness how she will be missed. I have shed a few tears tonight and know that many of you have too. Didn't she just have that wonderful gift of making each of us feel 'special'?
JackieO - I'm so glad you have had a good birthday - you certainly deserve to be thoroughly spoilt.

To top my special day off my tutor has told me that she is so pleased with my essay that she's marked it and its gone off to Canterbury for second marking so I am at one with the world tonight

Wonderful collection of songs on here today to mark the loss of a lovely person who will be much missed by us all.I do hope her partner can find the strength to read them all at some point.

Hello didn't know MSD but its so heartwarming to see how she is thought of by everybody she was certainly a very special lady.

Well it's official, just had a text from DD saying she's staying over at BF's place tonight :mad: I haven't seen or heard from her since 11.30am this morning
I really can't believe she's being so stupid, after all the hours I've sat with her while she cried and cried over how horrible he's been and how violent he's been to her.

I feel terrible, almost physically sick just thinking about it
