  • Raphanius - so sorry to hear you have lost your mother. Well done for managing to cope with all the mess on top of the shock. xxx

    Well my HHC overran considerably! Sorry to all those kind ladies who joined in with me: the soup's on the counter now - please help yourselves!

    I'm taking a rest now with a cuppa, having:

    * Emptied the dishwasher
    * Frozen down chicken stock
    * Frozen down the remains of last night's stew for DH when he is eating alone...
    * Dug up some leeks from the garden
    * Made a small Indian side-dish for the curry tonight
    * Made a huge pan of country chicken soup for the weekend
    * Sorted through the freezer to bring some of the old things to the top - I've got loads more ready-prepared (by me) meals than I thought in there! :j
    * Confirmed an appointment for next Tuesday which had somehow got lost...
    * Ran a sink of water and stuffed all the bulky washing-up in there to soak while I sit down!

    Now. After this break, do you think I can be brave enough to think about the Main Bedroom....:eek:?

    Someone give me a prod.....

    MissH

  • Raphanius sorry to hear about your mum, sending hugs and prayers to you and your family.

    Been AWOL for 2 days and done !!!!!! all. Spent yesterday wallowing again in self pity and because it was our wedding anniversary it made it all the more harder. 2 1/2 years we have been separated when does it get easier? Anyway conclusion of yesterday is that I dont need him, I dont want him, ive achieved alot since I left him, I provide for my kids without any help from him and that the only person my kids can depend on is me, so therefore I owe him sod all!!! Think im doing pretty well actually!!

    Anyway need to get this sh1thole sorted as all attempts made in the lounge on Monday have gone to pot. Landlady called round yesterday for her rent but couldnt find my cheque book! Shes coming back tomorrow (and yes I found my cheque book 5 mins after she left, it was the in !!!!!! drawer keeping safe haha.

    Off to crack on with some jobs back later (No work today or tomorrow so will be on a cleaning frenzy!)

    Hugs and spoons to all

  • Would anyone like to join me for a HHC at 12.15? DS is in bed early as he fell asleep on me before he had his lunch. I've had mine & need to get on before he wakes up for his lunch. I've done most of his bedroom though.

    I'm reluctant to prod you as you've already done so much :). All I'll do is to tap you gently on the arm - do you want to do the same for me later on please as I'm having a real job psyching myself up to mop the kitchen floor which is ridiculous :o

    Afternoon all

    Not a whole load achieved here so far today, seem to be easily distracted by emails and my lovely wineberries which DFiL had delivered for my birthday present.

    Raphanius - so sorry to hear of your Mum's passing, sending love and strength for ou

    Greenbee wishing you well soon and strength to deal with ex

    I have tidied and sorted a few bits out of my wardrobe. Really need to go clothes shopping which is not top of my list of favourite activies.

    Off to make a start on dusting bedrooms. Ours first, then the DSs in random order

  • Thinking of you raphanius

    Afternoon all. Had a busy couple of days so not been on here but for the first time in weeks my ironing is up straight again! I did it at 7.30 and was lovely knowing it was all done. hope I can keep it that way.

    Need to make a cake this weekend for DD as she will be 5. Really does not seem possible so will focus on getting the kitchen up straight and sorting a couple of cupboards.

    Have been trying to sort out the divorce. It has been nearly a year now since I first started proceeded and know I really do not have the best solicitor. Added to which my darling husband !! has also managed to get a restriction put on the house because of debts. You would think he could spare a thought as it is the house where his children live. Think I really need to move so that I am no longer financially attached to him. Although I still live in hope he may pay child maintenance at some point. Need to chat with him next time he comes and mention that I will be contacting CSA if he does not support his children. Sorry for the rant. Did not intend it to be.
