    Thinking of you raphanius

Have been trying to sort out the divorce. It has been nearly a year now since I first started proceeded and know I really do not have the best solicitor. Added to which my darling husband !! has also managed to get a restriction put on the house because of debts. You would think he could spare a thought as it is the house where his children live. Think I really need to move so that I am no longer financially attached to him. Although I still live in hope he may pay child maintenance at some point. Need to chat with him next time he comes and mention that I will be contacting CSA if he does not support his children. Sorry for the rant. Did not intend it to be.

Rant away, that's what we're here for, a shoulder, an ear and lots of hugs and understanding.

  • I'm still on my HHC but decided to have half hour for myself:p

    On my HHC I did...

    Decluttered & hoovered living room
Removed items from living room/kitchen to proper homes
Removed bag of carp from the RoD :D
Rehomed a bag of bits from our bedroom.

Just need to dust & hoover DS's room, stairs and clean bathroom. Will clean bathroom while DS has a bath tonight & do the rest when I'm able to. It's grocery shopping tomorrow so it'll be nice not to have to worry about housework as well & do none at the weekend again :D

Sorry to gloat but I'm really pleased with myself. DH has noticed and caught the bug as much as a man will :rotfl:

But beware they are rather distracting!

Ok, in my hhc which ran on a little, I did my kitchen dailies, cleared the floor of the bedroom, finished unpacking after Bologna, and put some stardrips on the sink etc to work away until i tackle that. Doesn't sound much but it seemed to take aaaaages!

Gah! DS1 on study leave, DS2 and DD2 both ill and grumpy at home! Me cleaning up their scattered leavings. Blah!

    Afternoon lovelies!

Raphanius Sorry to hear about your mam, what a shock that must have been for you (((((hugs))))) xxxx

Hugs and get well soon's all round xx

Been to work this morning then straight onto Argos for my next customer, I reserved them all last night for her and picked them up today so that's my good deed for the day done :D Need to be at hers for 2pm for a 2 hr clean, I don't mind as she's housebound and has had a awful 2 months in the hossy so it's the least I could do.

I should use this time wisely and do hoovering and stuff but I won't, at least I'm honest if nowt else, will have to do it later tho, or tomorrow morning cos the sun is shining and it looks hideously, horrendously grotty.

GD is home and coming on leaps and bounds :T

    Welcome new people x

Greenbee you're too good for him ;) glad you're feeling a bit better xx

Well, just as in Piggersland, there's loads of wet stuff falling from the sky. So the cats have beaten the cpra out of each other, one has finally made it through the corner of the leather settee - I should be  but it has taken her 11 years of concerted effort every time I went out - the arm chair (fabric, cheap as anything from IKEA) is FUBAR and, other than a heap of stuff on the coffee table and about 3 X WM and 1 X TD, I have nothing to do downstairs.

I am still avoiding doing my room, as it is the one which has still not been sorted from moving in (no carpet, etc) and I refuse to do DD's pit. So just the litter tray in the upstairs bathroom and a quick sweep of there and the landing today.

Oh well, time to do the TD, have a cuppa and then warm up for my lesson.

I miss the big yellow thing in the sky already.

Been AWOL for 2 days and done !!!!!! all. Spent yesterday wallowing again in self pity and because it was our wedding anniversary it made it all the more harder. 2 1/2 years we have been separated when does it get easier? Anyway conclusion of yesterday is that I dont need him, I dont want him, ive achieved alot since I left him, I provide for my kids without any help from him and that the only person my kids can depend on is me, so therefore I owe him sod all!!! Think im doing pretty well actually!!

It is 2 years next month since KH left us.. best thing he ever did for us I think!

It gets easier as soon as you admit to yourself it is over and start looking to the future.. make an appointment with a solicitor and start divorce proceedings.. right now.. if you are in receipt of benefits make sure the solicitor accepts legal aid and get it done.

You say you have proved you can manage without him.. proved to who? Everyone who said you couldn't cope? him? the children? You don't need to prove yourself to anyone.. So long as you and the children are provided for that is more than enough.

You can have your own personal list..

    1. Ring a solicitor.. NOW!! You may have to wait a few weeks for an appointment with the better solicitors.. I had a 3 week wait for mine and he is good and had many many years experience (he was my dads solicitor when my mother divorced him in 1977!)
    2. Bag up any of his remaining bits of crap lying about and in them.. it is SO liberating being rid of their crap, it just brings you down it being there.. get rid!! (call it decluttering!)
    3. Plan 5 things you want FOR YOU!! in the next 6-12 months.. they don't have to be huge or expensive just for you! I had on mine.. decorate the bedroom and get a new bed.. so it was mine!

My divorce took 10 months (8th Dec-15th Oct) and he was a PITA and took forever to sign any of the papers. Get on the phone and harangue the solicitor they are taking liberties and they are working for you so should be shifting things quicker.. give them a kick.. here *throws mule* chuck that at them!!

As for KH (I'll allow yours to share the title!) don't tell him anything he has had 2 years to sort himself out.. just CSA him.. it saves a confrontation.. save the money (assuming they get their act together) towards a deposit and moving costs for somewhere else.

The house is now mine pending the court stamping the papers and the conveyancing going through.. :D :j:j:j MINE MINE MINE MINE :j:j:j... and I can sell it, or change the locks or burn it down and there is nothing that moron can do about it!!!!!! Better still anything IN it is also mine.. including the water from the leaky guttering! lol So he gets out of paying maintenance for 2 years but I get the house.. and the second the 2 years are up he is getting hammered for every single penny I can get from him for my children! Seeing as he is telling everyone he is paying all his money to me anyway I may as well make it so!
