    Morning everyone! :hello:

I've added notes to my list now and a couple of extra jobs to do. I hope to be able to cross some things off later today. :)

I hope everyone has a good day. :A

    Lily x

Make a list of things to take on holiday
Find miniature smellies/make-up and toiletry bag - found most of these last night, just need to find mini mascara, mini moisturiser and bag to put it all in
Make sure clothes I want to take are clean - will do washing tonight and wear clothes I don't want to take away for rest of the week
    Find passport/documents/travel guide
Pack everything into hand luggage (not paying for checked in luggage easyjet! :p) and take things out and rearrange if necessary
    Find adaptor plug/s

    Cleaning/tidying jobs
Sort out kitchen (am hoping DH makes a start on this tonight! :D) - DH started on it last night
Give bathrooms a quick clean and use white vinegar on two sinks and the bath - put white vinegar on the en-suite sink this morning, hands still stink of vinegar! Will wipe it up and give the room a quick clean tonight
If time, tidy lounge and bedroom and put away clothes which are currently piled up in spare bedroom :o, sweep and mop downstairs, dust and hoover everywhere else except bathrooms. - started tidying and dusting the lounge last night

    Other jobs
    Send card and solved crossword!
    Dye hair
    Get petrol
RSVP to two evening wedding invites
    Get cash out
Sorry for the non-flylady jobs, but it helps me to remember them if I type them out! :o
  • well im up and watching telly, not yet dressed going to finish watching the rest of last nights taggert and then do some HHC, as ive got to be out about 11.50 as i got a house viewing at noon. its a bargain of a price, about 30 - 40K less than other houses in the area but it needs work. however at that price as long as it doesnt need a new roof and the kitchen and bathroom are functional an offer could be made as long as oh likes it. ive not told him im viewing it, but its on the market for 69K which is laughable as the mortgage on that would be less than we pay in rent:eek:

  • Gosh - it's quiet on here this morning!

Well - I've been busy in the last hour or so...

    * Strained chicken stock
    * Made a pork and sausage casserole
    * Made chicken sandwiches for the freezer
    * Put loo cleaner down the loos

The sun is just peeping through, so I think my next stop is the front garden, to pull up a few weeds. The cyclamen, snowdrops and early iris are all in flower in a steep bank of wild violet leaves, and so I'm just going to tidy it up a little to remove the goosegrass seedlings. It's my favourite border at this time of year.

Catch you later in about an hour's time...

    MissH
    xxxxx
  • Am off out to take the dog for a walk, then back for lunch and a run so, once again, flying will be done when littlies are home from school :) I agree with MissH, it is quiet here today! Where is everyone?!?!? Catch you all later x

  • Also, I'm thinking of painting our hallway in the next few weeks. It will be being done in a couple of years, but a coat of white till then would really buck me up and shouldn't cost a lot....worth doing?

Absolutely worthwhile. It will make it look so much brighter and cleaner in there and provide a great surface for the full redecoration later. Although, be aware that you will probably have to do the glosswork as well, because it will end up looking a bit yellow in comparison.

    It is quiet, isn't it?

That sounds a lovely little border. Seems like my house is the only one in the street that has any plants in it at all. The pansies are going mad, there are tulips sending up their first leaves, Tom Thumb irises, Tete a Tete daffs, other daffs, all the herbs, ivy, honeysuckle and a rose all trying to make a growth spurt. And the tiny, tiny border that is against the house is full of wildflower seedlings - love in a mist, forget-me-nots, tons of things. Oh, and I may have stuck some bluebells and snowdrops in when I moved in in October. Can't remember now, but will find out soon enough.

I know my front garden is south facing and consists of brick wall, block paving, house brick wall and a pebbledashed brick wall, so it acts as a storage heater, but I didn't realise quite how good it was at its job.

Out the back still looks like the Somme, half expecting as the turf is sinking to get up one morning to find a Sheerman tank turret sticking out of the ground. As this is built on the site of an old scrapyard from the 1930s, I may not be far wrong :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

jojo.. how cool would that be though? A sherman tank waving at you out of the ground.. I'd be well impressed!

OH still upset this morning, not helped by the fact he was so stressed at the mere thought of 3 weeks with no break from the children.. it is pretty hard going from no children to 9 in the space of a year!!!! He is just dropping DS1, friend and dd1 at college.. in a strop :(

DD3 been to piddly clinic.. they are putting her back on her day time meds as well as the night time meds that have made no difference.. I am giving those the 3 months they have asked we give them and requesting a referral to urology (that was meant to have been done 2 years ago but wasn't) Their has to be a physical reason, chilren cannot just pee in their sleep and it be a behavioural issue there has to be a physical cause and after 3 years of clinic visits I think we need to see some progress.

Both WM's on, 3rd and 4th loads about to go in
    TD on
DW on .. second load about to go in
2 loads of dry stuff folded.. DS1 forced to put his away.. his new trainers came today so he is starting to look a little bit tidier.. :D I need to find somewhere he can get cheap t-shirts and sort those and maybe a couple of new hoodies and he will be just about presentable again!
    Tiddles new boots collected :D

I am SLIGHTLY calmer than I was last night though manifested a twitch in my eye so I look like Scrat (the squirrel on Ice Age) I just cannot keep everyone happy, especially when dealing with a KH so someone is going to hate me no matter what I do.. I won't lie for him any more.. so when Tiddles asked about her going on holiday with him I said he isn't taking her she is staying here with me I wasn't lying and we dealt with her being disappointed but things brightened up when I promised to collect her new boots today. which I have done. DD1, DS2, DD2 and DS3 are all DELIGHTED they don't have to go over half term.. but were told any misbehaving and they WILL be cleaning the entire house for the week instead!

    Rest of today..

    Laundry catch up!!
Request redelivery of DD1's parcel (if it was mine I'd have collected it :p)
Vacuum middle room and tidy kitchen and front room
Get dinner in the SC.. actually, I've changed my mind in the time it took to type that I have decided we are having spaghetti and meatballs..
Get pans out and make up some dinners for Miss Skinny ;) Chop, cook, whizz and freeze.
I might force myself to make a large cake for after dinner with custard/ice cream as well while I am in there.

    Baby feeding time again..
