Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

  • Hello to all after another week of not flying, and thanks for this week's thread. This time I'm determined and thankfully work has started to calm down now.

Just been reading the very sad news about Diva, even though I haven't really made any MSE "friends" yet, couldn't stop the tears from welling. (((((((hugs))))))) to all that are feeling the loss, and to everyone who just needs them.

  • Doing an update. I've been reading the thread but by the time I've got to this point I've forgotton who needs what :D So be assured I kept your needs in my thoughts as I was reading through :heart2:

I'm at point where I have been before when I have followed Flylady and also got into the habit of doing my dallies really well and am now unmotivated but for a good reason. I am on top of most rooms (except of course my RoD - Utility Room) :D I am lucky in that my home is also relatively uncluttered but of course there is always something / some room threatening to get out of control!

So I'm falling off the lists a bit and know from experience that I will regret this in a few weeks time soooo ... I know I am in this place because I followed the lists but can not get motivated to follow the lists :D:D:D Hope this makes some sense.

    Anyway Monday and Tuesdays lists:

Does your KH seem to dump things on you last minute? Such 'I can't do the thing I have been saying I will for weeks so you have 15 minutes notice to do it' and being told 2 weeks in advance that I can't do what I have had planned for weeks as his plans 'over-rule' mine.. I am really upset that OH is upset we can't visit his family when he has told them we will be going then.

I really wouldn't feel happy leaving them all with DS1 and DD1. I am sure they would be fine.. but they'd trash the house, shout and yell and possibly murder DS3 and/or DD3

He used to do that to me ALL the time Piggers... to the point that he would be having little one for me to go to work and he would suddenly announce that he couldnt do it.... or worse - he would just disappear. I moved 500 miles away so I didnt have to put up with his crapola anymore.

Now its just phone calls promising he will stay in touch, promising he will make time to see him when he is in Scotland etc etc. He never does. Last year, about a week before his birthday, LO asked me why Dad never gets in touch, why he never gets a birthday or a christmas, but he has a new family? I didnt know what to say.

He phoned his Dad and asked him - and like always - he promised to send a card and a gift. I knew it wouldnt happen, so I went and and unwrapped one of my own presents and put it in different paper and told him it was from his Dad - purely so he didnt have to go through more heartache.

What gets me, is that poor excuse for a man sat on the end of that phone and listened to that poor child sobbing his absolute heart out asking why he didnt love him - and he STILL couldnt force himself to buy LO a present...

Jo - at the oven!
