Good evening to all of my lovely flylady friends.

Although I didn't post the other day, I did wear purple and think of Diva. Thank you LadyL for posting the link to her memorial website. It was lovely to put a face to the name too as I'm not on FB. Just so you know, "I love you" too.

Well today, since I've been home from work, I've been doing general tidying around the house. I've decluttered the shelf by the sofa, done a bit of filing, made an important phonecall, put a load of washing on, and caught up with my emails. (That reminds me, I will have to ask Moon to go out in the garage and put the washing in the TD for me.)

Luckily supply work has picked up a lot this week, and I've had full days every day so far (I shan't be working on Friday as Moon and I are off to look at the photos from our photoshoot that we had last Thursday). Unfortunately, I seem to have been given difficult classes of year 6s all week so far, and I've got a full day of a year 5 class tomorrow, and my voice is really suffering. I'm croaking when I talk, so trying not to talk too much, taking my vitamins, and drinking whenever I get a chance to. Only a week til half term, so I'd best make the most of the opportunity to work, as we've got to pay the balance of our honeymoon on Friday too.

Sending hugs out to everyone who wants them, and those who don't, just because.

    I hope I've not missed anyone's birthdays.:bdaycake:if I have.

    Love to you all,

    squeakymouse xx

Stripped the bed this morning, then received a phone call about our much-needed new bed being delivered on Friday :j . I got busy taking the bed frame apart since it was already stripped and have made the mattress up on the floor.

My dog got hold of my glasses this morning while I was in the shower and completely mangled them - they are totally unsalvageable. It's been over 2 years since I had an eye test so I will have to try and get an appointment for next week. Luckily I have a spare pair with the same prescription but something is different because I've had strained eyes and a headache all day.:(

Hope you all had a good day flying. :j

DD came in to say that as she was getting off one bus on her way home, she felt one of the Year 9s that were surrounding her stick their hand in her pocket and take her Oyster card. She couldn't do a thing because she weighs 5 stone and they were all about 5 foot 9, so it was only because the next bus driver was kind and let her on without paying that she wasn't stranded.

Her bank card, purse and phone were in her other blazer pocket.

So, I've emailed the school and pointed out that pickpocketing is an acquired skill, so whoever did it is well used to thieving. And contacted TfL, who promptly stopped the pass (which is probably already in someone's front garden unused) and charged me a tenner for a replacement. In the meantime, it's £8.80 per day travel costs.

She was given a lanyard and card holder at the beginning of term to hold it specifically to avoid instances of theft. But of course, she knew better than me that it was pointless having something stupid like that and it would NEVER go missing in her blazer pocket.

This is the same person whose two school skirts (a single compulsory style from a school supplier) are covered in nail varnish where she decided that covering clothing or her brand new desk was irrelevant for someone as superior as herself. Which makes another £45 out of the budget.

And her father decided he can't afford to pay maintenance now he has a dog and a half built extension on his house, only mentioned once I asked why this month's payment was over a week late. Nice to see having somewhere to show off to his three friends, trips to go offroading and a flaming Boxer come before her.

Managed to hoover the whole house today but didn't get to the mopping.

DS3 really enjoyed his brass day, needs an early night though.

Must iron a few of DH's clothes so I'll just tidy up from dinner and get DS3 to bed then I'll do that. Poor DH is really jet lagged. He is usually fine but think the going to the East and then to the West and back again has thrown him.
